Okay dear readers, it's obvious that Doc can't discuss/debate the issue with me in a rational, mature & logical way (as the chronology of the posts shows). Instead, he lives up to his old self description as an "arrogant asshole"....much like the the MAGA mooks and Alt-Right rummies he has criticized/vilified over the years.

No point in further entertaining Doc's nonsense in this vein. I leave him to throw rocks here, and will catch him on another thread.

Your generalization is incorrect. I think he debates just fine. I’ve disagreed with him in the past and the debate was polite. You get what you give with Taichi.

Globally, there is a struggle of ideas. I'm partial to Western and Japanese/Southeast Asian ideology, whereas Russia, Iran and North Korea see Western ideology as "decadence" and ruinous to their own ideology. They are willing to kill to protect their ideology. Even if only by proxy. Without Iran, this fight would have been over 30 years ago.

This is from 2010, so phone use should only have grown. Video communications grew greatly during the pandemic.

I have to agree with Dork Dutch on this one.

I'd be interested in knowing the full context and extent of any disagreement Phantasmal had with TCL. I'm guessing it was probably some minor point related to a larger matter they were in full agreement on.

Every time I've posted an opposing view to his, especially on matters involving race, even though I attempted to express my side in a civilized manner, it soon devolved into a mud slinging contest after he immediately started hurling accusations of racism.

So again, I have to agree with quotes 1 & 3 on this matter.

Re TCL, all political extremists, regardless of polarity, become very emotional when their ideology isn't fully accepted.

When the extremists on both sides are pissed off at you but not others, then it's a good way to determine where you are relative to the center.
