Speaker of the House - ”we don’t live in a democracy.”

he got zero those from Democrats. The Republicans were unanimous support.

You are not quick enough to be a lawyer.

I will put it in bigger type for you and your fellow alt-leftie malcontent trolls to read.

Which House Republicans voted against McCarthy?
Though McCarthy had the support of most House Republicans, there were enough opponents within his party to cost him the speakership.

"The reason Kevin McCarthy went down today is because nobody trusts Kevin McCarthy," Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida told reporters after the vote.

Eight Republican members, including Gaetz, voted to oust McCarthy. They were:

Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona
Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado
Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee
Rep. Eli Crane of Arizona
Rep. Bob Good of Virginia
Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina
Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana
Did any Democrats vote to keep McCarthy as speaker of the House?
All 208 Democrats in attendance voted against McCarthy. Not a single Democrat voted in favor of keeping him as House speaker.

Before the vote, the House Democratic leadership urged their caucus to vote "yes" on the motion to vacate.

"Given their unwillingness to break from MAGA extremism in an authentic and comprehensive manner, House Democratic leadership will vote yes on the pending Republican Motion to Vacate the Chair," Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York wrote to his caucus.

Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington said her party would be unanimous in voting against McCarthy. "We are following our leader, and we are not saving Kevin McCarthy," she said.

That's not how forms work.

If it's a form of democracy - it's a democracy.

Ah yes I forgot what I was dealing with, a leftist. "Social" justice and "(fill in the blank)" rights. Justice is justice and rights are rights there are no need for qualifiers. The qualifiers usually denote special treatment.

Hey bidenpresident I love that I occupy every one of your waking hours. LMFAO

It's not a direct democracy. Very good poindexter. We use a principle of democracy, "majority rules" but this isn't a democracy. Get the fuck over it already.

Every dictionary and encyclopedia in the world says you are a lying idiot

representative democracy, political system in which citizens of a country or other political entity vote for representatives to handle legislation and otherwise rule that entity on their behalf. The elected representatives are in turn accountable to the electorate for their actions. As a form of democracy, representative democracy exists in contrast to direct democracy, in which all citizens directly vote on laws to be passed and other issues. Most modern countries are representative democracies, and, as such, they face many challenges.

I mean, when we have a quote from THOMAS JEFFERSON, and there is still denial about it - it basically means this discussion isn't going anywhere.

Like everything in Trump-world, facts simply do not matter.

Foreign disinformation bot holes

They now own Republican minds

we are NOT a democratic republic. If we were, the majority could overrule the rights of the minority. This is why the US is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That does not make us a non-Democratic Republic, it does make us a Constitutionally limited Democratic Republic. We do have limits on democracy, that does not mean we do not have democracy.

Great article on an issue we discussed a few weeks ago.

Why Republicans are trying to convince Americans we are not a Democracy.

As I discussed here, they are not a major party and Democracy does not work for them anymore, so pretend its not an American value of that we were not founded on Democratic principal's.

Justify your biblical rule by diminishing Democracy.

Abandoning Democracy is what the Republican party has come to.
In a republic the rights of the minority are preserved.Don't you want that to happen?

What party has the majority in the House of Representatives? What party gets to choose the speaker?

it’s not the Republic part that preserves the minority rights, it’s the constitutional part that preserves minority rights.

Oliver Cromwell led a republic in England and he allowed very few minority rights. That Republic did not have a constitution and was not democratic.

Do you have trouble following a link? The answer lies within Grasshopper. Oh, I forgot, I am dealing with a fake lawyer.
Don't let your arrogance stop you from spending your day admiring your own shadow.

Where in the Constitution does it say we are a Democracy ?

Look at conservatives, going to the mat to try to argue we're not a democracy.

What would Reagan say? That party has tumbled so far.....
