I kind of do, too - at this point.

I'd love that not to happen, too. But Trumpers are so out of their minds that it doesn't even matter if Trump wins or loses - they'll tear it all down regardless. Probably better if Trump wins so that they can see first hand that no one is exaggerating about what he intends to do (which he is stating pretty much every day, anyway).

We may have to hit rock bottom for a better future.

It started w/ all of the "we're not a democracy" stuff we are hearing from the right over the past few years. Reagan Republicans would have doubled over laughing at that argument.

But, democracy worked for Republicans in Reagan's days. They won elections, BIG. Now, they haven't won a popular vote in quite a few cycles, and they can see where it's going.

They don't want real elections anymore. The demographics continue to move against them.

And it's evolved from "we're not a democracy." I have now heard Trump supporters here & elsewhere dismiss the idea that we're moving in an authoritarian direction, but add that if it's better for the country, they don't care.
