House Speaker Mike Johnson has announced that he is releasing all J6 tapes today

How the fuck should I know? What does that have to do with what I posted you fucking blathering idiot?

the fact you have no way of knowing is PRECISELY what it has to do with what you posted.......all you know is what federal investigators wanted you to know......until now......

This is a thread about 1/6 hot rod. Start your own thread if you want to talk about the idiots at the DNC. If you had an ounce of intelligence you would see the differences. But you don’t.

the only difference is the choice you made about who you are willing to condemn.....

They must have missed the part where the Police were escorting some through the building

Still wondering about this one: because some of the police escorted some of the protestors - it means the other protestors weren't violently trying to overtake the Capitol?

I've never seen this line of reasoning for any crime. Would it make a difference in how we feel about the Hamas attack if they showed footage of some Israeli houses not being attacked?

I guess the long-awaited-by-the-MAGATs proof that J6 was just a rowdy patriotic tourist visit hasn't yet materialized. Tsk.

This is what cultists do.

1/6 makes Trump look bad, and it makes his followers look bad. So, really - the best option is to pretend that what every American saw live, with their own eyes, simply didn't happen. It goes back to Conway's quote early in the Trump admin about "alternative facts."

If you don't like the reality - just invent another one.

Anyone that just walked into the Capitol and were not violent or did not cause property damage should just get fined and community service and no jail fine. Anyone that was violent should be fined and get jail time. Anyone that caused property destruction should be fined and forced to pay for the damage and given community service. Giving people jail time for simply trespassing is ridiculous. Watch the videos there were several people that walked into open doors and even stayed inside of the roped off areas inside the Capitol. They were dumbasses to think they could enter the Capitol but they don't deserve jail time.

No not at all. The whole thing was a cluster fuck that never should have happened. There might just be a bit of difference between J6 and Oct. 7. Sorry you can't figure that out.

Obviously there is a difference in the severity of the attacks, and the tragedy caused. But you're missing the point of the analogy. The attacks aren't apples to apples - but the logic about "footage" is the same.

Agreed, but why did the J6 committee not both sides of the footage to the public? Think there was any bias?

I'm not even sure what you mean. What would be the point? Oh, look - there were calm moments that day, too. So, the bad moments weren't really that bad.

A bank robbery is still a bank robbery, even if there is footage of the parking lot being calm, or of someone opening the door for the bank robber.

Man Lionfish is an idiot. There are not 'both sides' like this is a contest. What happened that day happened. A violent attack on the US capitol and the Capitol police. If there is another 'side' it is the side of dishonesty by omission.

I love how Magats, in reply to them being cited as 'Insurrectionists' say, 'they were not insurrectionists... they were simply rioters.

And then when Trump goes and sings with "rioters" and Marjorie Greene constantly celebrates them, they suddenly are not just lawless rioters and are 'victims' because, of course, the party of law and order would not celebrate anyone they labelled as "rioters".

Will those arrested at the Capitol get the same sentences as those who did no harm on !/6?

So yeah, it's about !/6. A sentencing precedence has been set. Lets see if it's held up.

I believe some of those officers were dismissed from their jobs.

President Trump called the mob there to attack the Capitol in a violent coup attempt.

So? Were they trying to stop an election from being certified? Were they chanting "Hang Kamala Harris"? Did the president of the United States tell them to "fight like hell"? Were they any more rowdy than a group of out-of-control sports fans rioting, overturning cars, setting things on fire, and beating each other because their team won or lost? No? So where's the equivalency?
