That's correct. Comer refuses to allow Biden to appear before the entire House Oversight Committee, if it is going to be a PUBLIC hearing. That happens to be the exact thing that Biden's attorney is offering.

Let's not forget that Comer was caught running shady business deals with his brother, and was challenged on the Committee floor to testify. Comer, backed into a corner, agreed to testify if Biden does. Now that Biden is demanding a public hearing, Comer has tucked his tail between his legs.

Gee, whyever not let him testify? It's not like he's going to get up there and make a campaign rally speech, ala #TRE45ON in court. I would think that if they have evidence of crimes, this would be a great chance to grill him publicly, for the benefit of the marks, and catch him committing perjury.

Our lawfully issued subpoena to Hunter Biden requires him to appear for a deposition on December 13," Comer released in a statement Tuesday. “We expect full cooperation with our subpoena for a deposition but also agree that Hunter Biden should have the opportunity to testify in a public setting at a future date."
