Looks like another one of Hawkeye's fearless positions is about to go by the wayside. Doesn't appear that the entire economic system will not collapse before the end of the year. And the Trumptards who ignorantly predicted a recession without knowing a fucking thing about economics should now be served a steaming pile of crow. You know who you are, but you will just lie about it.

The righties stay away from this stuff. It really upsets the narrative that Biden has been an economic disaster and that we're entering a new Recession/Depression.

If Trump was Prez, this would be the greatest economy ever.

Based on what MAGAs told me in the Fall of 2020, I was expecting we would all be lining up at soup kitchens by now.

They were saying it all year this year. And they were wrong. I know why. They lack even a cursory understanding of how economics works. Their answer to inflation, apparently, is to drill for oil. They haven't explained a) why there is still inflation even though 2023 will be a record year for domestic oil production and b) how the cost of fuel, which is an insignificant factor in determining the price of goods, is the principal cause. In fact, it is almost entirely a product of supply and demand. They are actually too fucking stupid to understand that basic economic principle. It's sublime.

Hawkeye gets his "news" from Twitter feed. Both he and his JPP girlfriend have been bleating across the forum about how America is collapsing, the masses are suffering horribly under Biden's incompetent iron fist, and how we're all DOOMED.

Another issue they can't seem to grasp is that inflation is worldwide, not just here. They have yet to accept this as truth because it means then Biden isn't to blame, and Biden must be to blame for *everything* -- tooth decay, potholes, smaller size packaging, sassy children, rainy weekends.

Back then, it was 'hyperinflation'. Obama was going to destroy the country with hyperinflation. They didn't know what it was, but they thought it was cool.

Real unemployment hasn't been below 25% since 2020 so 200k temp holiday jobs mean absolutely nothing to those who live in the real world.

And instead, he handed a recovered-from-the-Bush-fiasco robust economy over to the Toadstool, who drove it right into the ground with his tariffs that we little people paid for Meanwhile he handed out tax cuts to himself and his rich buddies. We were in an official recession *before* the pandemic hit.
