I had to read it for an English class, it was painful. I complained often to my teacher.
Shakespeare is probably far more intelligible than Joyce's Ulysses.

The Alt-Right has sought a Constitutional Convention for decades now, but like changing the EC, that's a pipe dream since the results would be the same: an inability to get 2/3s of the states to agree on an amendment and 3/4s of the states to ratify it.
I suspect they don't get it because their countries have a history of monarchism or autocrats. An easier way to explain it is to compare the US to the EU; a collection of semi-autonomous states under a single banner. One problem the EU has is similar to the US before the Civil War; their central government is toothless. Outside of historians, most Americans don't understand the general American attitude pre-1860 compared to Americans in 1960.
The EC isn't like voting in the UN or the EU, which operate on a one nation-one vote principle.
The reason I find that Europeans and Canadians find the EC inexplicable is because it is convoluted logic, undemocratic, and unfair.

It has become routine for your annual Medicare wellness exam.
Persuasion is positive such as explaining the reasons for voting for a particular candidate. Attacking someone for voting differently is negative. Ergo, bullying.
Given Biden's tenure in high level American politics, he can carry out necessary tasks of the office running on auto pilot.Biden has no indicators that he has dementia, but there are plenty of indicators that Trump does.
Merely being old doesn't mean you are automatically Ronald Reagan-levels of dementia.
Albeit delusional, he's smoother when he's riffing. He's illiterate and has a lot of trouble reading prepared statements. He seems to be barely coherent when he talks off script.
In your state it doesn't matter anyways since the majority will be voting for fascism and authoritarianism.

Some news segment was interviewing MAGAmorons in NH. last week. When the question was posed, everyone interviewed preferred trump as a dictator over Biden as a statesman.Depressed since Trump is the one who wants to be dictator. At least Biden will leave when his term is up.
He views everything as a zero sum game, as he did in business.Biden is fine, just old and experienced. Trump is not just suffering from mental problems, but he is also stupid. Add that he lacks so much knowledge.
Logistically, I don't believe trump could be imprisoned.Hello Doc Dutch,
No, we don't want that. The best case is that justice is done and he goes to prison.
If anything else happens the right will turn him into another Reagan. Reagan was nowhere near as popular as the right claims, but they have rewritten history and named everything after him. I don't want any US warships to be called the Trump. I don't want Trump airport, Trump school, Trump avenue , Trump this, Trump that. We need closure not another open festering wound like the Civil War.
Gotta think of the big picture. That involves how this is going to look in the future. The easy exit may not be the off ramp we really want in the long run.
Man-in-the-street interviews are always fun because the editors select who is shown and who isn't. Was this before the primary? Some news segment was interviewing MAGAmorons in NH. last week. When the question was posed, everyone interviewed preferred trump as a dictator over Biden as a statesman.
My first one was last year. It is part of the “wellness” exam which I forgot is separate from your annual physical. I thought I would do one to establish a baseline with my physician, since I was a relatively new patient. I also had two Aunts who had Alzheimer’s and I suspect my Uncle had it as well. I want to stay ahead of the game.Really? I've never had one. I hear it's really hard. I better get to studying.![]()

The state is changing, I think people are tiring of Republican antics. In your state it doesn't matter anyways since the majority will be voting for fascism and authoritarianism.

You are correct about the editing, but the fact that anyone would opt for a dictator is crazy. A follow up should have been 'what about Biden as a dictator?'.

James Joyce? The epitome of the Irish writer/poet? You two are ahead of me; I never even tried. In fact, I'm not even sure I ever saw the movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062414/
Joyce is the model for every famous Irish writer or poet shown in movies, but I doubt I've read anything by him.
As a kid, I did see, however, the Kirk Douglas movie "Ulysses" based upon Homer's Odyssey. That was pretty cool.![]()
