Full quote: "It's time for the GOP to get their balls out of Trump's desk and vote for what you've just been yelling for for the last months, and we need to stand with all of it," the Pennsylvania Democrat told Newsweek Tuesday.

He continued: "We need to stand with all of it. Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan. We have border security. Here it is right there—vote."

But they have been instructed by their Fuhrer not to vote for it. How in the world can they disobey his orders?

And it was only a two years ago all the supposed conservatives on this forum and elsewhere argued vehemently that the Republican Party was still the GOP and not the Party Trump owned

It, or something similar will be, gives the Democrats a counter to the GOP’s border issue, expect the question on umpteen TV ass, how can GOP lawmakers credibly claim the border is a crisis in need of immediate solutions while actively refusing to support their own proposed fixes?

the border bill is opposite to anything we have been wanting.

there is no gotcha moment here.

But they have been instructed by their Fuhrer not to vote for it. How in the world can they disobey his orders?

True enough, and this is our problem.

Every nation has its idiots, but we have tens of millions of them.
Nobody is even discussing what to do about that.
Nothing else matters until we do.

It has to be this... as for closing the Border? Just recently in South Carolina Joe said he could do... it why doesn't he? This crisis isn't anybody's fault but his...

If a President could close the border as simply as the right says why didn’t Trump do it during the four years he was in office? He described the border in apoplectic terms but never actually shut it done

The reasons are many, for beginners, logistically it isn’t that easy, billions of dollars of trade goes back and forth each day, not to mention any time any previous President, Bush, Obama, and Trump, took EO action on the boarder it was immediately sidetracked with legal issues from all directions, it isn’t as easy as some imply that it is in their rhetoric

the border bill is opposite to anything we have been wanting.

there is no gotcha moment here.

First off, last November Johnson attached the border to any aid to our allies, the right screamed the border is a national threat, if you want aid for the Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, gives us something on the border. Ergo, working with Republicans, both sides made concessions and came up with what Johnson asked for, a proposal that addressed the border, exactly what he asked for last November

And if you think that ain’t enough, if the Ukraine falls or China escalates threats on Taiwan, those also will make that Highway billboard

It has to be this... as for closing the Border? Just recently in South Carolina Joe said he could do... it why doesn't he? This crisis isn't anybody's fault but his...
Cite???... as i suspect what you say is more lies. Because the safe bet is 'if TOP is talking she is lying'.

A POTUS does not have the power to close the border as a normal measure, within his power.

You Magats have called for the Dems to support legislation for years now, while decrying any POTUS using the power of his pen (EO) to get around Congress, while rightly pointing out 'anything done by the pen of a POTUS can be undone by the next one, thus it is a band aide and not a fix. And this issue needs to be FIXED'

Why do Magats refuse to take the steps to FIX it?

Then you want open borders.

Every conservative group opining on this bill says it is the toughest proposed border legislation ever and that if Trump was in power there is no way he could get Dems to agree to anything this tough that did not have a ton of concessions for Dreamers, etc.

They call it a GOP wishlist.

So if it is not a Magat wishlist, that is because they want open borders for a continual campaign issue.
