I'm not disregarding Biden's accomplishments.

Let's be honest, Phan; when Biden ran in 2020 it was 1) with the knowledge that he would be a one-term President (due to age) with a single mission: Beat Trump and 2) he was the only candidate the Democrats had that had the best chance of beating Trump.

The Democratic Party clown car of 2020 was full of nutjobs or people who, rightly or wrongly*, wouldn't be able to carry a majority across the country. Four years later, the Democrats are in the same boat; they don't have anyone that can beat Trump except Biden.

The fact Trump is a traitor, likely soon-to-be-a-convicted-felon and completely unfit to be President isn't adversely affecting his chances of becoming the Republican nominee. If Trump wasn't the nominee, would the Democrats really be running Biden again? I doubt it but, at this rate, it's likely Biden will become the Democratic nominee.

This is all just speculation on your part, no one knows how things would go. If the candidate wasnt expected to be Trump, Biden may have willingly stepped down, and only served one term.

There are several strong candidates to run against Trump. Gavin Newsom is one of those. He debated DeSantis and wiped the floor with him and he could easily do the same with Haley. He’s been making regular appearances on Fox. He’s young and he’s dynamic. He would do well.

There are others as well with Putin, voting rights, and abortion on people’s minds, the way Trumpublicans have governed, it will be easy to find a candidate that will appeal to Independents, women and youth, not to mention Black voters.

We're past the Ides of February with only 6 months to the Democratic Convention in mid-August. Time is running out to start a full-fledged presidential campaign. This is why I think Haley should stay in all the way to the end; if Trump drops out, for whatever reason, Haley will be well ahead of all other Republican candidates.

Pres. Biden is going to be the candidate, that’s the bottom line.

Who he runs against is up to the states that still have primaries coming up.
