SS was set up so it could not touch taxpayer money. If it cannot reach its promises it will cut benefits to break even. The fund you are talking about is the one post-war baby boomers had. Our SS was raised to set up a fund to pay for boomers. It is due to be empty when the boomers die off.

No one said the potus has the authority to cut SS or medicare. I'm referring to biden's 1995 talk as senator as to him wanting to cut SS and
Medicare. If biden has long supported congress in keeping and bolstering both, then why would he say he would want them both cut? Can't

3. Eliminate full benefits for those who are full retirement age and still working full-time.
4. Eliminate benefits for those married to someone for ten years.
