Catholicism is part of certain ethnicities.
Certain ethnicities tend toward Catholicism,
If one is genetically identifiable as being a certain ethnicity identified with Catholicism,
and one is neither a Catholic nor a lapsed Catholic,
then that person is essentially weird, don't you think?
In what way? Mexican is an ethnicity that traditionally followed the Catholic religion. But Mexico is only 61% Catholic today, with Protestantism growing rapidly - and Islam making small but significant inroads.
The Catholic religion has traditionally been a part of Mexican ethnicity - but that is changing. There is no "Catholic" ethnicity, it is just a religion.
I've known Sicilian "Born Agains."
Just a few.
They're not like our regular people.
They're pretty fucking weird.
I think they eat Wonder bread. Wonder bread wops.
As a Californian, I don't know anyone who calls themselves "Sicilian." They just go by "Italian" or more likely "white" out here.
I thought Wonder Bread (Hostess) went broke, but looking that up I see that's just in California. It's been gone for decades here. Never ate that shit anyway - Orewheat is my go to.
