Trump shares violent image of Biden tied-up in the back of a pickup truck

A day after Donald Trump attended a wake for NYC Police Officer Jonathan Diller, who was fatally shot during a traffic stop on Monday, he's found an on-brand way to seemingly show his support for law enforcement agents while cosigning a violent attack on President Biden at the same time.

During the wake, Trump spoke to over a dozen police officers and family members proclaiming the need for the country to “get back to law and order,” according to The New York Times. But in a post to Truth Social, he seems to celebrate the opposite, recirculating a clip of a pickup truck in Long Island decorated with thin blue line flags and a decal of what appears to be a bound and kidnapped Biden on the tailgate, creating the illusion that the president is trapped inside.

Trump has a habit of inciting violence among his supporters. He won't get himself into trouble, but he encourages is fans to attack and even murder liberals then washes his hands and says he didn't tell anyone to do anything.

FWIW, Trump had two weeks to pardon his supporters. Instead, he saved his own ass and let his supporters be financially broken and go to prison.

It is OK when Trump does things like that. It was a horrible mistake for a comedian, Kathy Griffin to do something like that.

Explain to me what is humorous about the image. Biden is the President of the United States, it is very disrespectful, and dangerous. It isn’t humor. Trump is unhinged and his sharing things like this shows just how gone he is.

That is certainly the MAGAt ideology.

The First Amendment applies to everyone. As stated several times elsewhere, I believe we should hold our leaders to a higher standard under the Spider-Man rule: With great power comes great responsibility.* It's one thing for a comedian to push such ideas, but it's another when a political leader does it.

If someone on JPP said the Judge's daughter should be taught a lesson, that's one thing. For a national political leader to say it is wrong for several reasons but mainly a larger platform to reach people. Remember when RWers were upset at the Dixie Chicks and other musicians who spoke out against Bush and the Iraq War? They're just citizens albeit with that larger platform which reaches a larger audience. A political leader, especially one who thinks it's okay to order assassinations of political opponents using military assets, is wrong to depict violent, criminal actions against Americans.
