New York City is not New York State, and yes, people all over the country cared about what happened concerning Peanut.
It was a classic example of government abuse and overreach. That government is currently being sued over it too.

Exactly :thup: ... and many wild animals can be tamed. Typical pet stores are filled with a huge variety of wild animals for sale, ... and there are some amazing "zoo ambassadors". I've seen a flamingo run up to its favorite zookeeper to get a hug, and Galapagos tortoises that seek out their keepers to be petted on the neck.

People tame elephants, tapirs, cheetahs, monkeys, parrots, dolphins, etc.. I've seen docs about a hippo that was a house pet, a guy that let his pet buffalo wander in his house, and a Japanese couple with a pet penguin that wears a little backpack to run errands, by itself, to the local store to get fish.
