FROM THE LEAPING CAT, TO ...LEAPIN' LIZARDS! WTF IS THAT?
The destruction of a brand
The story started in 1922.
William Lyons and William Walmsley had a vision: create motorcycles that embodied elegance.
But it wasn't until 1935 that they made their first car.The birth of an icon was about to begin...
For the next century, Jaguar created an iconic brand.
They made the E-Type (called "the most beautiful car ever made"). Each car was a piece of automotive art.
But in 2021, everything changed...
The automotive industry faced a crisis, because of the climate scam and woke legislation that choked off the future of the ICE.
Tesla asserted dominance in luxury EVs.
Jaguar, and other manufacturers, were forced by woke legislation to do something...stupid.
And they did.
First, they paused ALL car sales in their home country.
Then, they announced going all-electric by 2025.
Finally, on November 19th, 2024, they revealed their new identity.
Instead of showcasing their engineering prowess...they launched a 30-second video featuring bizarre models. There wasn't a single car in sight.
The mockery was instant, and brutal.
Over 90 million views in days resulted in thousands of memes & endless laughter.
But the criticism went deeper than jokes.
Why would a luxury brand do this?
Virtue signaling?
