I once dedicated several months to reading it from cover to cover. It is HAAAAARD making it through Numbers and Chronicles. SO HARD. OH MYGOSH it was hard.

Understandable. The beginning sections of those two books aren't the most "interesting" of reads for plenty of people. (census and genealogies, respectively)

What I came away with was a true appreciation for how the Bible contains a lot of really good and cool stuff and a lot of really appalling and horrible stuff. All mixed in together almost as if MERE HUMANS WROTE THE WHOLE THING God wrote the whole thing FOR the consumption and benefit of mere humans.
