Do you think the government, not Musk, is paying them?

And we don't know how much waste they actually found because we have no specific info to go by. Something along the lines of "32,000 SS records were selected for examination and fraud was found in 1600 of them."

Trump spent years claiming there were millions of fraudulent votes, and then the commission he set up didn't actually find any substantial fraud that could affect elections.

If trying to score political points, you can call practically anything "waste". SS can overpay people who have accidentally not correctly reported their income, but there are systems in place to sort it out in the end.

SS and Medicare have fraud detection systems in place, we didn't need a South African immigrant to grandstand and holler to the world that fraud takes place.

When the government pays SS on 150 year olds I think fraud may be involved.
