Trump is going after Social Security and Medicare

FACT: The Social Security Administration made an estimated $72 billion in improper payments between 2015 and 2022. FACT: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services estimated it made $140+ billion in improper payments in 2024 alone.
The dishonesty on this topic is the intentional conflation by leftists to equate the elimination of fraudulent Social Security payments with the cutting of Social Security.

I recommend that every time a leftist claims that Social Security is in jeopardy of being cut, that the correct response is to clarify that cutting fraudulent payments is not cutting Social Security.

You are only going to be able to fool other undereducated leftists. Trump isn't going to touch either Social Security or Medicare. Your post is a complete waste of bandwidth.
They already have begun, promising to cut half their workforce, and lately, ending any aid to new recipients on how to apply

Your comment is a “complete waste of bandwidth”

That 71.8 billion in improper payments from fiscal years 2015 through 2022 represents less than 1% of benefits paid out during that time period, and is no where near the $500 to $700 billion Musk is lying about
I think he's lying... but There's plenty of fraud... Everywhere
.. and it just needs to be cleaned up....And I don't have a problem with that at all... There shouldn't be any been improper payments...

Indeed...
Will they accept the truth? It would be refreshing wouldn't it?

Do you know what you do with fraud? You charge the fraudster with a crime. Is Musk doing that? You can recover fraudulent payments.

Is this info incorrect? https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/03/fact-check-president-trump-will-always-protect-social-security-medicare/#:~:text=FACT: The Social Security Administration, improper payments in 2024 alone.
You omitted the facts that the "improper payments" between 2015 and 2022 amounted to less than 1 percent of the total payments and that "improper payments" refers to payments lacking sufficient mandated documentation, not "fraud, waste or abuse".

In any case, only a moron would think the way to ensure a better record of payments is to take money out of the program.

Talk about “dishonesty on this topic,” what are Trump, who keeps repeating the lie 150 year olds are getting payments, and Musk, who erroneously claims the fund has $500 billion to $700 billion in fraud, doing?

And no said addressing fraud in SS was wrong, Obama and Clinton did it, rather that lying about it and applying a chainsaw to it is nothing more than an attempt to eliminate it as we know it today

If it were made into a movie, it would have to be a fantasy genre, i.e. nobody would believe that it could really happen.

Fraud is fraud...get rid of it... Every single case that Can be found... It's ridiculously out of control...

Poor anchoives, you are the ultimate moron taking both first and second place.
Wait just one cotton-picking minute here. Are you simply dismissing Nordberg and Jarod, who are both currently ahead of @archives in the official standings, as well as having higher Maddow-index scores? I say we have a run-off, and we just keep score unofficially going forward.
