Trump is actually quite ignorant. Economists have told Trump his tariffs are inflationary and driving wedges between America and trading partners. He still wants to do them because they align with his bullying attitude. He wants to threaten and browbeat anyone he deals with. It worked on people who did contract work when he was building, so he is using the only tool he understands. It does not work on a global scale. Trump is stupid and will not listen. You are stupid and will not learn.
