Its one thing to cheat and lie. But when you claim to be all about showing the truth, and then you intentionally lie, that makes you both a liar and a hypocrite.

The fact that someone else lies does not change anything.

When you die and face your judgement, do you think "But other people lied too!" will be an acceptable answer for your crimes?

You can keep repeating that other lie too. But that does not change your own responsibility to tell the truth.

You want gay marriage to not be allowed because it is a sin in the bible. And yet, you choose to break the commandment forbidding false witness.

You are either someone who tells the truth, or you are a liar. And since you have admitted lying, we all know which category you fall into.

Yes, some would say. Others would say that the end justifies the means.

But you can only actually be responsible for whether or not you lie.

You have chosen to lie for money. Kinda makes it hard for you to spout that "I seek truth" nonsense now, doesn't it?

If you actually believe that you lying is moral because others lie, you are deluding yourself.
