Why do Trumppers fall for so many conspiracy theories?

What is it about the Trumper mentality that lends them to believe in so many silly and outrageous conspiracy theories?

Why have they lost their grip in reality?
Mentally ill people often become conspiracy theorists due to paranoia. 68% of those arrested at 1/6 had previously reported mental issues including the Heroine of MAGAtry, Ashli Babbitt.

Trail of bankruptcies, tax problems and bad debts raises questions for researchers trying to understand motivations for attack
Nearly 60 percent of the people facing charges related to the Capitol riot showed signs of prior money troubles, including bankruptcies, notices of eviction or foreclosure, bad debts, or unpaid taxes over the past two decades, according to a Washington Post analysis of public records for 125 defendants with sufficient information to detail their financial histories.
The first time Celeste Norris laid eyes on Ashli Babbitt, the future insurrectionist had just rammed her vehicle three times with an SUV and was pounding on the window, challenging her to a fight....
...“She pulls up yelling and screaming,” Norris said in an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, recounting the July 29, 2016, road-rage incident in Prince Frederick, Maryland. “It took me a good 30 seconds to figure out who she was. … Just all sorts of expletives, telling me to get out of the car, that she was going to beat my ass.”

Terrified and confused, Norris dialed 911 and waited for law enforcement. Babbitt was later charged with numerous misdemeanors....

... the life of the Air Force veteran from California, who died while wearing a Trump campaign flag wrapped around her shoulders like a cape, was far more complicated than the heroic portrait presented by Trump and his allies.

In the months before her death, Babbitt had become consumed by pro-Trump conspiracy theories and posted angry screeds on social media. She also had a history of making violent threats....

...On social media, Babbitt identified as a Libertarian and ardent supporter of the Second Amendment. Her posts included videos of profane rants against Democrats, COVID-19 mask mandates and illegal immigration.

Her Twitter account, which was taken down after her death, was rife with references to the QAnon conspiracy theory, which centers on the baseless belief that Trump has secretly battled deep-state enemies and a cabal of Satan-worshiping cannibals that includes prominent Democrats who operate a child sex trafficking ring.

“Nothing will stop us,” Babbitt tweeted Jan. 5. “They can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours....dark to light!”

Among Q followers, “The Storm” refers to the predicted day Trump would finally unmask the pedophile cabal, arrest and execute those deemed traitors and restore America to greatness.

Some idiots still believe the conspiracy theory, and subgroup of those people are Jarod.
lol. Says the folks that still believe that there is "evidence" that Trump "colluded with Russia" and that the laptop was just "Russian misinformation"...
There is a bipartisan Senate report you have not read.

“Far from a hoax, as the president so often claimed, the report reveals how the Trump campaign willingly engaged with Russian operatives implementing the influence effort.”

This report does not claim that Trump colluded with anyone, it says that Russians try to effect our elections, these are different things.

Ever since they were the USSR they have done this, back in the day they would write "letters to the Editor" and try to get stories into the newspapers. The internet makes things a bit easier, but these things haven't changed. Pretending that this is something "new" and only for "Trump" is where the "left" gets their conspiracy theory, and fail to critically think about what is concluded. Those on the left think it confirms that Trump "colluded" with Russia, but that is not what the report said at all.

Explain Paul Manafort, giving data to Russia. Trump, as the head of his campaign is responsible for his people. There was collusion. People like you refuse to see it.

IT does not say the campaign didn't collude with anyone either.

Saying one thing, does not make the other thing untrue. It is clear the campaign had high level meetings with Kremlin officials.
