Israel is not interested in a ceasefire. Israel wants the Iranian regime’s threat and capabilities completely eliminated, not to mention the regime changed (whether it is said outright or just hinted at). But due the US entering into the conflict and bombing the Iranian nuclear sites, it’s difficult for Israel to not agree to President Trump’s demands.
Iran, on the other hand, desperately needs the ceasefire to survive.
Both sides have agreed to the ceasefire.
If Iran acts anything like Hamas or Hezbollah used to when they were in better shape and a ceasefire was declared, Israel can expect a major Iranian bombardment right before the ceasefire goes into effect.
And if Iran doesn’t attack, it shows they may be in even worse shape than we think, and a ceasefire is saving their regime.
