She's not wrong. The victims of MAGA voters got what they voted for. The innocents who were visiting from elsewhere are not the same. Thankfully, one of our own made it out safely.

Same for me when it comes to leisure. I mostly surf on the internet to follow my favorite sports and sports teams and to read up on politics. Now work is another story, I use it a lot unfortunately.

Her firing is the least of her worries…who would hire someone with this total lack of compassion for children that she clearly demonstrated?

She had to get rid of all her social media... This latest comment was just the tip of the iceberg... She's been inserting politics into her practice for quite some time... No doctor should do that... Particularly one who cares for children...

One would think that a pediatrician would have extra compassion for children.

How could anybody possibly support what she said... But they do... and look around... A lot of people here should lose their jobs... Or would if they were still working... Unbelievably disgusting And immoral posts..

Not really the point. Her post was unbelievably tone deaf for even someone with a below average IQ. But for a pediatrician to say that w/ presumably a well above average IQ tells me she meant exactly what she said.
I can't imagine her getting any new patients and losing quite a few establishmented ones. No question - she had to go.
Maybe she can get a job in eastern Oregon (where they want to secede and join Idaho) doing euthanasia on MAGAs.

She said what she said in Texas, a maga state. Saner people are not going to interpret her comments the same way magas did. Magas are trying to distract from the system failure that contributed to this disaster, so they fixated on one person's remarks rather than the bigger picture.
 
The remarks of a pediatrician...someone responsible for the care...the lives... of children, is a pretty big picture...

When I encountered a patient that was not likeable I always tried to be extra nice to them. You would be amazed how well it worked.

That's what we do, after all... We don't get to pick and choose our patients...or students...
It's odd how people here don't understand or respect our responsibilities as professionals...
 
And It's no surprise that people here are still blaming this tragedy on the President...or DOGE...or Republicans...
They would never admit they're wrong...
