The fact is, we installed our first tariff in 1789.. Nearly every country has used them. Many before we did. There is no lack of data on tariffs. Economists know how they work and what problems they create. It is no mystery, and Trump has not discovered some huge missed usage. He is wrong about tariffs. He is a blundering fool.
