They can either choose to change the name back, or they can choose to play at another stadium.

it is there choice. Names are not chosen by anyone but the team.

Here is how it works. Washington DC stadium is a federal building. The federal government (yes, that includes Trump!) has total control over that building, including placing requirements on the lease for any team that plays there.

The team can change it's name, or play in another town.

You are completely at a loss why the government or Trump or others who do not own the team cannot just choose the name and you seem to think they should.

They don't, but they own the stadium the team plays in.
