Trump Putin summit

Will there be a cease fire?
I am surprised anyone is surprised there was no ceasefire. trump was desperate, and did not have enough to offer Putin to get a ceasefire. trump cannot force the Ukrainians to be defeated.

Agree, the Russian economy is a mess and Putin understands clearly what awaits him and his country if he opposes a ceasefire.
Russia has been a mess for years. Putin is in better shape than he was when Biden was actually imposing sanctions on him, and even then he refused a ceasefire.

Putin had better watch out.
Putin is literally laughing at you.

Russia has had over a million wounded and dead.
And Putin does not care.

Neville Trump.
Now that is funny. I will steal that, if it is OK with you. Chamberlain got a few months of peace... AND THEN FINALLY STOOD UP TO HITLER. It is important to remember that when Hitler invaded Poland, Chamberlain was willing to declare war on Germany. Does anyone think trump will get any peace, or be willing to declare war when necessary.

Flyovers to honor foreign leaders is considered a great honor. American Presidents very rarely give that honor to a foreign leader. trump must really want to honor Putin to give him such a thing.

I noticed no one has mentioned that while Trump was groveling before Putin, Russia was busy bombing the shit out of Ukraine.

The diplomacy version of Putin saying "You're not the boss of me, and never will be."

The flyover was likely a calculated act to project U.S. military dominance while maintaining the veneer of diplomatic respect. The B-2’s symbolic weight and the summit’s context lean toward it being primarily a display of power, though presented in a way that could be interpreted as honoring a visiting leader. Without explicit Pentagon or Trump administration statements, the intent remains ambiguous, reflecting both strategic posturing and diplomatic theater.

Distinguishing nuance from a display of power is not a strength of the left if Trump is involved.

It was moronic.

The Wall Street Mafia has been threatening Russia all around the globe....often with terrorism....and Trump almost certainly issued fresh threats yesterday.

The Russians got the message.

It was moronic.
It would depend on whether Putin is better at interpreting nuance than American leftists, and upon the ultimate result. Watching Putin's face when it happened was priceless. That guy was at the top of the KGB when I was working intel... surprising him with such a display sent a message, one that was likely missed by most Americans.

Americans don't even know the nuance of handshakes when leaders meet, listening to them talk about this projection of power and leverage is like listening to four year old children brag about how they know about medicine because their daddy works in an ambulance.

We are better than you, and if there is nuclear war then we all die, but we are going to Heaven, you are going to Hell, is the answer.

Keep dreaming buddy!
