To Hell With Charlie Kirk

I hope this the last week, we have to hear about Charlie Kirk too?!!

There’s no excuse for political violence, but it’s hard to be sympathetic for someone who profited off hate.

Charlie Kirk died as he lived: propagating hateful myths about marginalized groups in our society.

Literally.

He was shot seconds after falsely insinuating that transgender people are more prone to committing mass shootings.

Kirk became rich and famous spreading hateful lies, trafficking in conspiracy theories (some of which were antisemitic) and railing against the LGBTQ community. Ironically, he argued that school shootings were a small price to pay for the Second Amendment.

He was not simply a right-wing pundit with whom one might disagree in polite conversation. He was both a profiteer and architect of America’s increasingly violent culture war.

This isn’t a “both sides” event — political violence in America is almost exclusively the realm of the political right. Put another way, there is no left-wing equivalent to Charlie Kirk — that’s how extreme he was. Trump will likely use his death to further the destruction of U.S. democracy.

There’s no excuse for political violence — but Charlie Kirk is absolutely responsible for making political violence more likely in America.

He never “lowered the temperature” as so many politicians and pundits are now disingenuously pleading; he spent his entire adult life pouring fuel on the fire.

You reap what you sow.

There you go be true to your evil hate filled self. Doesnt that feel.better than all the pretending you think you have to do. I can't imagine what's it like you mangled donuts when you hear about a school shooting. You have to be horrified and outraged while inside you couldn't be happier because you can use it to demo use your political opponents. Sick motherfuckers that you are.

He’ll fade into history just like a Rush Limbaugh.

Captain James T. Kirk will have a longer lasting legacy.

As a Christian, I don't wish that anyone go to hell. I always hope the wicked, the users, and the abusers see the error of their ways before they face the end. Kirk was literally doing his schtick when he was shot, so I don't see that as being repentant.

Like George Floyd? LOL

Seriously; who do you think is more famous? George Floyd or Rush Limbaugh? Why?

I'm thinking dying on the Internet will be a factor. :)

I'm someone who loves Jesus Christ & his message. But I have argued w/ Christians for years - mainly online - about some of the teachings of modern Christianity that I feel veer significantly from the message he was trying to convey.

Kirk was a very traditional Christian, which I am not. I have real problems w/ the POV of traditional Christianity. I feel that it has created a lot of isolation and intolerance for the LGBTQ community, which I can almost guarantee Jesus would not support.

But, that's just a disagreement I have. Kirk had Christ in his heart. He didn't approach any of the letters of LGBTQ w/ hostility - just w/ his beliefs and attempts to persuade. I think he was wrong on that issue, but he was a good man and believed what he believed. The interactions I have seen between him and LGBTQ have been gentle & from a place of love and compassion.

Please provide a single video of Kirk espousing racism or misogyny.

The ENTIRE WORLD has turned on the left....

You are completely wrong about Kirk:
