We have a friend that recently retired from teaching. Well she’s my wife’s friend. I have to endure her.
She is a caricature of extreme WOKEness and typical far left teachers.
Complains she doesn’t get paid as much as orthopedic surgeons, says Trump only got elected because of racist flyover states.
Gets a COVID shot every two weeks.
It goes on and on.

Really hard to be around sometimes.
I would not want her teaching my kids.

There is that group...when I was teaching it wasn't that extreme although we were still outnumbered..
But that Never interfered with doing what was best for the kids.....Sadly, that is not the case any more...
It's good that there's one less now that your wife's friend is retired... And good that a bunch of the nasty mouth ones will be going...

My sister was a long time teacher who retired. Even taught at one of those Title something schools for low income or troubled kids (I forget).
She tried going back into teaching at a normal public school and required turning in homework for a grade and attendance like I had to as a kid.
She got called in to the principal’s office who accused her of being racist.
She walked out and didn’t even bother going back into the classroom.

Title 1... And I remember you relating that story... That's so sad.But I absolutely believe you... Many teachers retire because they are not supported and can no longer actually teach... especially these days... So many good teachers have been lost...

of the press; "

Tell us what law congress passed that violates the 1A.

Yep. Lots of private schools have popped up that never existed in the area I grew up in. It’s the only way for kids to get a traditional, decent education.

Yup - most black kids cannot read. Even the ones in HS. Blacks do not belong in america.

There is another way - home schooling. It works great as long as the parents do it. Unfortunately lots of parents do it to use the kids as drug mules.

Whoever would have thought that a traditional decent education was not going to be available for every student ? There's a chance for things to change.... And it looks like it's happening slowly but surely...
