Egg prices collapsing thanks to trump tariffs. $2.34 a dozen for walmart great value large eggs.

How exactly did Trump's tariffs affect egg prices? Eggs are mostly a domestic product, with a few exceptions. Someone should explain to you what a tariff is.

Eggs were so expensive because of the Bird Flu and the culling of groups of the infected. Whether that picks up during the colder seasons, where such diseases are more rampant, is yet to be determined.

And Trump didn't do a fucking thing to help cure the Bird Flu but the MAGAS are trying to make it look like he did.

And Walmart is saying they will be raising their prices on a lot of things real soon some as high as 45%.
You can bet if Walmart raises prices so will most other retailers and some of them could add an extra percent or two to pad their bottom line.
Trump's tariffs are just working through the supply chain , we have to thank a lot of the big retailers like Walmart for stocking up on a lot of things before Trump's tariffs took effect and kept prices down till now.
Hang on it isn't going to be pretty.

Good point. Eggs are still the same price here that they've been for months -- high. The MAGATs want to distract us from the horrible cost of beef, the highest it has ever been in at least my lifetime.

Our Walmart has already raised most prices, some by just pennies but others by more.

She doesn't care, despite the fact that at this time last year, she was crying that "Biden's high inflation" was causing low income people to go without, kids to go to bed hungry, and people unable to afford Taylor Swift tickets. Even though prices are actually either the same, or in many cases higher, than a year ago, suddenly it's all good again.

We were talking about this on my son-in-law's post about how much groceries are yesterday. One of his friends said that even though both he and his wife have good jobs, it is costing them over $350/week to feed their family of four. I don't know how ppl can even afford children now. The Grifter-in-Chief isn't doing anything to fix this. He'd rather flood American cities with military people in order to intimidate and silence dissent.

I don't...and I work with quite a few low income families, so I'm very aware of what's going on...
Your complaining isn't doing a bit of good, you know...get out there and help if you're actually worried about others...
That's what we do in this country...;)

How come last year it wasn't possible to "shop wisely" and use coupons and find great sales? Nothing has changed at all as far as prices, other than many things are more expensive now.
