So what? Trump claims credit for all sorts of shit. Sure, he negotiated the peace treaty, but Israel has a long history of exchanges like that. Only 250 of those to be released were in prison. The rest, about 1700, were captured during the last two years of war and were being held as, essentially, POW's.
20 college students for two thousand Palestinian prisoners is a deal Hamas would take any day of the week, and twice on Ramadan.
Hamas hasn't agreed to disarm or cede authority to Trump's proposed international commission. So the odds are better than even that Trump boot-lickers are prematurely spiking footballs and popping champagne corks.
