gen·o·cide
/ˈjenəˌsīd/

noun

  1. the deliberate and systematic killing or persecution of a large number of people from a particular national or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.
    "a campaign of genocide"
Systematic killing of "a large number of people". You could say that any mass shooter is "systematically" killing people, but nobody is going to claim they're committing genocide.

On October 7, 2021, Hamas fighters killed about 1,000 civilians in 8 hours, using nothing but handheld guns and knives. If they maintained that rate of murder, that would be 3,000 per day and would total just over 2 million in 2 years since the war started.

Israel, an actual military, with actual military weapons, has killed (last I saw) 74,000 in 2 years.

So, where is the genocide? Is 2.9% over 2 years considered genocide to you?

You need to read history. My definition is standard.

Hamas bad. Got it.

They also had paragliders, bulldozers and trucks. You're free to support the terrorists and "from the river to the sea", but they're the terrorists, not the Israelis.

The United States killed more Japanese during WWII than the Japanese killed Americans. I have no doubt you'd apologize for them too while condemning the United States for superior weaponry.

genocide, the deliberate and systematic destruction of a group of people because of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, or race.

Right, so what makes you believe Israel was trying to destroy Gazans, when they can't even keep up with the murder rate of terrorists using knives and hand-held guns?

You realize that Israel, if they wanted (intended) to could kill 74k in an hour, right?

Good. Will you stop insisting that "systematic" has nothing to do with definition of genocide?

I NEVER SAID IT IS THE ONLY DEFINTION
That is the ONLY thing you have provided as support for your claim, despite the fact that the math clearly does not show intent to commit genocide and neither does Israel's actions.

So, what do you have besides systematic killing?

Nuking Gaza would work, but it would clearly cross a line.

You love arguing about nothing.

That would be actual genocide. It would show clear intent to wipe out most/all Gazans.
Not necessarily, but I think most nations would consider it a war crime.

FWIW, by taking Ukrainian children and shipping them to Russia, Putin is guilty of genocide per the UN definitions. Simply killing people is not. Israel intends to wipe out Hamas, even when they put their HQs under hospitals and Mosques. If Hamas would surrender and lay down their arms, Israel would stop.
