Canada has about the same rate as here (about 0.0137% deaths by gun).

All three (2 in Austrailia, 1 in the US) shooters appear to be black, but NOT related to black street gang activity. They appear to be motivated by hatred of Jews, since Jews celebrating Hanukkah were targeted.

One of the shooters in Australia was disarmed by a citizen and ran off, and the other was killed at the scene by a good guy with a gun. The shooter in the U.S. has been arrested. Security camera footage indicates his race, which hasn't yet been officially released by the arresting authority.

'Gun free zones', such as at Brown University, don't work.

• The person of interest detained in connection with yesterday’s deadly shooting at Brown University has been identified as 24-year-old Benjamin Erickson of Wisconsin, multiple law enforcement sources tell CNN.

• Sources said earlier that the person of interest was found with a revolver and a small Glock handgun in his room at a hotel in Coventry, Rhode Island. A CNN crew was at the hotel when law enforcement swarmed the location early this morning.

Federal agents have been conducting interviews in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, in relation to the deadly shooting at Brown University, police in the city say.
