FTFY. What do you claim is the coherent answer? The correct question is what caused [my deity] to pop into existence in the first place.
Since you can't conduct experiments or collect empirical data on these kind of philosophical questions, you have to use reasoning and logical inference to eliminate the least plausible answers, and arrive at the most likely answer.FTFY. What do you claim is the coherent answer?
I have no idea of what the hell you are talking about here.
I have never been called for jury duty and I doubt that I ever will. I have more law enforcement agents in my family than any other family I have ever known. Almost automatic disqualification every time. Never been called for a civil case.
I also am saying that I do not "believe" no gods exist. SOME PEOPLE DO HAVE THAT "BELIEF." I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY DO NOT HAVE IT.
I understand the topic more than you. But, apparently you are a wiseass youngster and nothing I can do about that.Obviously.
You don't understand the topic.
So because you've never been called for Jury duty you figure it's OK that you don't understand how the justice system works?
If you say so.Interesting.
I understand the topic better than you...and have discussed it extensively with people MUCH smarter than you, Child.Calm down, Cletus. I know it bothers you that you are unable to understand this topic. I can't simplify it anymore for you.
yes.I did not say that. You asked if I had ever served jury duty.
I said no.
Now you are making shit up about that NO.
If you say so.
I understand the topic better than you...and have discussed it extensively with people MUCH smarter than you, Child.

People believing in the God of Abraham isn't evidence that the God of Abraham exists any more than the existence of the Flat Earth Society makes the it true that the Earth is flat. There are currently over two billion self-identified Christians in the world today. That evidence is from TODAY, not 2,000 years ago.
Yes. The only evidence is a book written thousands of years ago. Now, this is the part of the performance where you belittle this evidence as "weak" (and otherwise execute ZENMODE SEQUENCE #1). Fine, that's your opinion. You don't have to be convinced to believe anything just because some evidence for it exists, but that evidence DOES exist.
... and just like that ... execution of ZENMODE SEQUENCE #1.
Yes, it IS evidence that the God of Abraham exists.People believing in the God of Abraham isn't evidence that the God of Abraham exists
... but it IS evidence that the Earth is flat.any more than the existence of the Flat Earth Society makes the it true that the Earth is flat.
Continued chanting summarily dismissed.Yes. The only evidence is a book written thousands of years ago.
Yes, it IS evidence that the God of Abraham exists.
gmark is also a little bitch.
I actually forget what you're like.Happy Holidays to you, as well!
Yeah, and it's highly unlikely you understand how the justice system works. You've already shown you have no clue how the null hypothesis works.
That's why I'm the only one on here to so far mention the null hypothesis or how that works. Sure, sure you "understand" it, Cletus.
LOL.
Then explain how it applies to the justice system and how jury verdicts work.
Continue to wait. Hold your breath until you turn blue. Kick your heels at the floor.I'll wait (I've already explained it to you, but since I know you didn't understand it I want to watch you struggle to explain it. LOLOL)
I have a VERY STRONG OPINION. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I DO NOT KNOW IF ANY GODS EXIST...OR WHETHER IT IS MORE LIKELY THAT AT LEAST ONE EXISTS OR THAT NONE EXIST.
How can you suppose that is not a strong opinion?
You lord over the theists with your twaddle about their opinions being just guesses...and yours being motivated by science and logic.
I don't believe any... not one... of the gods that man has made up in his mind exist or ever existed. You and your opponents are motivated by just guesses, Zen. Mine is not.
Correct.
Which is why I wonder why you will not answer my questions...since we agree on that.
I am talking about gods...and I have explained explicitly at least 3 times to YOU that by god or gods...I mean mean "The entity (or entities) responsible for the creation of what we humans call 'the physical universe'...IF SUCH AN ENTITY OR ENTITIES ACTUALLY EXIST.)
If that is incomprehensible to you...you should not be in this discussion.
You are talking about being an atheist...a so-called weak atheist or, as you like to structure it, an implicit atheist. You are essentially saying that you do not "believe" in any gods. Your personal choice of using "atheist" (a word that means different things to different people) you claim is because you lack a "belief" in a god.
If you want to contest that...ANSWER MY TWO QUESTIONS.
Here they are again:
1) Do you "believe" there are no gods?
I think it is absolutely more likely that there are no gods.. at least none of the gods in the man-written storybooks.2) Do you "believe" it is more likely that there are no gods than that there is at least one?
Given your views on what is relevant evidence, and what it means, there is literally no reason to have a discussion with you. By your logic, anything that anyone believes to be true is actually worth considering, no matter how insane it is or how much evidence exists to the contrary.Yes, it IS evidence that the God of Abraham exists.
... but it IS evidence that the Earth is flat.
Continued chanting summarily dismissed.
Probably a good idea. At least until you start making some sense. It looks like I can close this one out as well.
