We need to replace every scum sucking pig that voted against this bill.

I think I'll be able to ask Mike Coffman about this on Sunday when he'll be here for a parade. Since I'll be helping out with the float. I'll need the name and number of the Bill. I'd also like to see a transcript before asking. I don't like to appear uninformed when I ask these questions.

This issue is just another example of the Republicons not caring about the people in this country. The right would let them suffer and die in the streets, then bitch about the bodies. I'm starting to wonder if Republicons are even human.

You been watching the Daily Show? Me too. It is sad that they base it all on politics.

About the only reason to vote against would be some argument over proper Federal authority, but unless you are Ron Paul, you don't get to use that one.

The Democrats are using politics too, though. I partly wonder if they did not use the procedure just so they could bash Republicans over it's failure. Unless A. Weiner was critical of the Democrats in his spitch (my new word for speech that is heavy on spit) then it was all just for show.
It is totally evil and Pelosi did was evil and the fact that they couldn't get enough Republicans to pass it even though she pulled this fast one!

It is an outrage!

Promise?

Are you sure we will see some cuts?

There's so many things I would like to see from them.

Hey,,, what about that Lindsey Graham? And his friends from Maine.

What a great bunch of people to stand behind.
I hae a whole list of cuts, but the Republicans aren't going to like them!

Well polish this line up a bit and get ready to use it quite frequently in the years to come, because this was NOTHING compared to what lies ahead. If your head is still so far up the ass of the Democrat party, that you don't realize we have allowed them to spend trillions of dollars that we simply don't have, to basically pay off people, and expand the government's intrusion on our lives in every way possible, without actually "helping" anyone who isn't a political contributor of theirs, then you need to take another pull off the crack pipe and wait for the rainbow unicorns to appear, because you're not living in the real world with the rest of us.

The overblown hyped up outrage and panic over "the poor sick unfortunate ones" who are apparently dying in the streets from neglect somewhere, has gotten very OLD! People are just plain tired of hearing about it! We just flat don't see it, we don't have to stumble over the dead bodies on our way to work each day! We don't know of any old people who have died of starvation because they refused to eat the Alpo! We don't see evidence of children with potbellies standing outside the school cafeteria with an empty rice bowl, waiting for someone to bring food! Hospitals aren't having to cart of the corpses to incinerators for disposal because they neglected to provide emergency medical care! Good ole boy sheriffs aren't rounding up everyone without blond hair and blue eyes, and carting them off to concentration camps! Billy Graham isn't out there with his Religious Militia, executing anyone who dares to admit they are homosexual, while Roy Moore is carving the 10 Commandments into Mt. Rushmore! These things are NOT HAPPENING in the real world!

The Ten Commandments, why not the Sermon on the Mount?

Most of the Ten are worthless as far as laws! There could have been some that were so much more effective!

I am the Lord they God, thou shall not have any strange gods before me.

Thou shall not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain...

Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day

Thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife

Thou shall not covet thy neighbors goods

Those are just the few that are worthless.

The Code of Hammurrabi, which is older, is far better and some would like it, lots of get even tactics!

* If anyone ensnares another, putting a ban upon him, but he can not prove it, then he that ensnared him shall be put to death.

* If anyone brings an accusation against a man, and the accused goes to the river and leaps into the river, if he sinks in the river his accuser shall take possession of his house. But if the river proves that the accused is not guilty, and he escapes unhurt, then he who had brought the accusation shall be put to death, while he who leaped into the river shall take possession of the house that had belonged to his accuser.

* If anyone brings an accusation of any crime before the elders, and does not prove what he has charged, he shall, if a capital offense is charged, be put to death.

* If a builder builds a house for someone, and does not construct it properly, and the house which he built falls in and kills its owner, then the builder shall be put to death.(Another variant of this is, If the owner's son dies, then the builder's son shall be put to death.)

* If a son strike his father, his hands shall be hewn off.

* If a man give his child to a nurse and the child dies in her hands, but the nurse unbeknown to the father and mother nurses another child, then they shall convict her of having nursed another child without the knowledge of the father and mother and her breasts shall be cut off.

* If anyone steals the minor son of another, he shall be put to death.

* If a man takes a woman to wife, but has no intercourse with her, this woman is no wife to him.

* If a man strikes a pregnant woman, thereby causing her to miscarry and die, the assailant's daughter shall be put to death.

* If a man puts out the eye of an equal, his eye shall be put out.

* If a man knocks the teeth out of another man, his own teeth will be knocked out.

* If anyone strikes the body of a man higher in rank than he, he shall receive sixty blows with an ox-whip in public.

* If a freeborn man strikes the body of another freeborn man of equal rank, he shall pay one gold mina [an amount of money].

* If the slave of a freed man strikes the body of a freed man, his ear shall be cut off.

* If anyone commits a robbery and is caught, he shall be put to death.

* If anyone opens his ditches to water his crop, but is careless, and the water floods his neighbor's field, he shall pay his neighbor corn for his loss.

* If a judge tries a case, reaches a decision, and presents his judgment in writing; and later it is discovered that his decision was in error, and it was his own fault, he shall pay twelve times the fine set by him in the case and be removed from the judge's bench.

* If during an unsuccessful operation a patient dies, the arm of the surgeon must be cut off.

The Big Ten were made for a tribe of nomads and do not apply to the more developed civilizations that existed at the time and had more advance laws.

Billy Graham is a moderate Christian compared to Bauer and the Washington DC Christians!

And naturally the pinhead goes spinning off into another anti-Christian rant to divert the topic. Typical!
Pinhead, how many angel sit on the top of a pinhead?

I mock you Dixie, you can't handle what you give! typical, everyone can have an opinion as long as it is yours!

By the way, Dixie, the New Testament is Christian, the Old is Jewish! just to keep you straight on that one!

Ok, so we have first responders who charged into the dust & rubble, ignoring their own safety, to try and rescue people.

That action exposed them to things that have made them ill.

And the House republicans voted against money to help them? Assholes
And the house democrats went with this stupid measure that required a 2/3 majority? Idiots

NY-Dem Rep. Anthony Weiner said it best.

I think this explains the politics involved.

For weeks, a judge and teams of lawyers have been urging 10,000 former ground zero workers to sign on to a court-supervised settlement that would split $713 million among people who developed respiratory problems and other illnesses after inhaling trade center ash.

The court deal shares some similarities with the aid program that the federal legislation would have created, but it involves far less money. Only the most seriously ill of the thousands of police officers, firefighters and construction workers suing New York City over their exposure to the dust would be eligible for a hefty payout.

But supporters of the deal have been saying the court settlement is the only realistic option for the sick, because Congress will never act.

“Ladies and gentlemen, you can wait and wait and wait for that legislation … it’s not passing,” Kenneth Feinberg, the former special master of the federal 9/11 victim compensation fund, told an audience of ground zero responders Monday in a meeting on Staten Island.

Democratic leaders opted to consider the House bill under a procedure that requires a two-thirds vote for approval rather than a simple majority. Such a move blocked potential GOP amendments to the measure.

A key backer of the bill, U.S. Rep. Peter King, a Long Island Republican, accused Democrats of staging a “charade.”

King said Democrats were “petrified” about casting votes as the fall elections near on controversial amendments, possibly including one that could ban the bill from covering illegal immigrants who were sickened by trade center dust.

Boiled down, this doesn't change the FACT that the Party of No will not budge unless it gets it's way. Rep. Weiner called out Sen. King for the bullshit artist that he is....as this was discussed earlier:
