Time to delve into a political reprieve question. Do you have a favorite scent? What is it, and what is the best way to enjoy it?

Mine is freshly baked bread. I simply adore it. I used to make it fresh myself, but that added to my waistline with all those carbs. I've even bought a soap that was called fresh baked bread. It smelled like a buttery brioche with notes of butterscotch.

There used to be a Merita bakery right off the side of a local expressway.

The sign was a local landmark for several decades....



You could smell the bread baking when driving by.

Everybody loved it.

When they closed down a few years ago, what everyone missed the most was that baking bread aroma.

Whatever is in the crockpot. I love starting it on low before heading out for the day and coming home to savory scented house.

When it comes to perfumes and/or scented oils, I've always been partial to Patchouli.

It was popular back in the early-mid 70's with the "hippie chick" gals who carried the fringed, suede leather purses and wore bell bottom jeans, sandals and muslin peasant blouses.
