I don't like anchor babies. This is how I would fix it.

ULTRA MAGA

Pity the feeble minded!

When your baby is born on US soil and neither parent is an American citizen the following must happen to remain in America.

Within 1 year you will bring your documents and apply for citizenship for your baby.

If both parents are here legally the petition will be considered. If the parents are found to be in good community standing, good credit standing and decent moral character the petition will be granted. The parents will then have to apply for citizenship themselves. If the petition isn't filed it will be assumed that one or both parents are here illegally and the baby is not eligible to apply for citizenship. Not ever. Out goes the entire family. One way ticket to home.

This way in 20 years we won't have people crying the blues it's the only country they know. It will be decided early.

Hopefully our dictator/king will unilaterally do something like this soon.

Makes way too much sense. Unlikely to happen.

Simpler: If you don't have permanent resident status and aren't here legally, your kid isn't a citizen. That means if you applied for asylum, no citizenship. You're here illegally, no citizenship. You're here on a student or tourist visa, no citizenship.

"All persons born". Not difficult to understand. Don't like it? Ask the Congress to make an amendment.

Agreed on all points but one. If one parent is here legally he/she can stay. The other parent and child must go.

Id like a grand bargain. Legalize everyone in the US immediatly. No more birthright after and no more asylum. US withdraws from any human rights organizations

If your visa is temporary then that makes sense as you were never intended to be allowed to stay indefinitely. You or your love child.
