Trump leaves China without breakthroughs on Iran, Taiwan or AI

I suspect that Crazy Trump was hoping that China would put pressure on Iran to re-open the Strait of Hormuz in a favorable fashion to Trump, but maybe the Chinese will be content to let Crazy Trump sleep in the bed that he made for himself.

But he will return to Washington to find that the war in Iran still poses a major political headache. There is much speculation about how much pressure the US is putting on China, the biggest buyer of Iranian oil, to use its leverage with Iran to encourage the country to reopen the strait of Hormuz. And there is a question mark over whether or not Beijing would be willing to accede to that pressure.
As much as it would be in China's short term interest to help Trump with Iran, they are very clear eyed on the long game here.

Allow Trump and America to continue to spiral into chaos, see how bad things get with the coming Mid Terms and see what Trump is willing to do, to damage America in a desperate bid to keep power and how that makes Allies step even further away from Trump and America.

China will not try to stem that path and will sit and watch as Trump does to America what they had been war gaming for years but could not find as effective a vehicle for it.

In spite of how often the American elites lecture the Little People about racism they are spectacularly racist..... they assume for instance that the Russians and the Chinese are weak and dumb because they are not us, knowing almost nothing of the Chinese and the Russians.....they dont think they need to.....they think they give orders and others do as they are told.

NOPE.

In China, we see this meeting as very successful and positive. It can be seen as a historic moment when U.S.-China relations started moving from a very bad, negative state toward something better. But in the U.S. — oh sorry, in newspapers written by the British — every positive, constructive element has been erased. What do you mean by "no breakthrough on the Taiwan issue"? What kind of breakthrough are you even looking for? I would suggest that the American people read less of what those British writers produce. All those Brits want is for the U.S. and China to fight each other. Britain is pretty much the most despicable country in the world. You don't need to doubt that.

Lets watch Trump endlessly flop around looking for a way out.

"I have no stake in the outcome, I find this shit show endlessly entertaining"

What you're talking about is in the past. It's already happened. Before Trump's visit, China had already expressed its views to Iran, hoping that Iran would make some concessions to help bring about a ceasefire and open the Strait as soon as possible. But that effort failed. For some unknown reason, Iran rejected China's suggestion. So the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz — there's not much Chinese influence behind it. Iran is not China's "ally." It does not follow China's instructions the way U.S. allies follow American orders. In fact, various agreements that China and Iran have reached in the past have been very difficult to implement. Let me say it again: Iran is not some ally that is attached to China and follows every suggestion China makes. It has a strong will of its own.

Trump leaves China without breakthroughs on Iran, Taiwan or AI

US president hails ‘fantastic’ deals, but details remain scarce after pageantry and little progress at much-hyped summit with Xi

Donald Trump left China on Friday after a much-hyped summit of the world’s two major powers that was rich in pageantry and promises of stability, but offered little by way of tangible progress.

The US president had gone into the two-day talks with China’s Xi Jinping weakened by his prolonged war in Iran, and did little to change the perception that he and his nation are diminished on the global stage.

He's a moron who's done nothing but enrich himself at Americans' expense.

I'm sure that China feels some animosity over the trade war that Crazy Trump started, and also China can plainly see that Crazy Trump is a risk to global stability, and that the world would be much better off without him

The 2018 trade war indeed caught China off guard, but in terms of danger, the damage the Biden administration has done to U.S.-China relations is even greater than anything the Trump administration was able to achieve.

Note that Biden is the second U.S. president since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the U.S. in 1979 who was not invited to visit China during his term. (The first was Jimmy Carter, who actually had a very good relationship with China and visited many times after leaving office.)

Biden publicly claimed in an interview that the US would defend Taiwan. Even though the White House staff later issued a statement to downplay his remarks, both that and Pelosi's trip to Taipei on August 2, 2022, are extremely dangerous provocations. Compared to these actions by top Democrats, Trump practically deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump & the Technocratic Tyranny with Iain Davis

by
Unlimited Hangout
December 18, 2025

Iain Davis joins Whitney Webb to discuss his forthcoming book, The Technocratic Dark State, which explores how the so-called “counter-elites” and tech billionaires behind much of the second Trump administration’s policies envisage a world remarkably similar to, and perhaps even worse than, that of the globalist oligarchs long reviled by Trump’s electoral base.

Once you read/heard this then it sort of all makes sense...Trust me
