We can't afford the tax cuts.
but we can afford tarp and the stimulus

We can't afford the tax cuts.
I definitely agree about relativity to where one lives. I go by the Chris Rock example he gave in 1998. He said Shaquille O'Neil is rich, the white man who pays him is wealthy.
In your area someone might be able to live like a rich person on $250k but wealthy is going to have transcend neighborhoods and states.
As an aside I wonder how much athletes take into account cost of living when signing their contracts? The Steelers and 49ers could each offer a player a $10 million contract but with the state's high taxes and local high cost of living the 49ers offer would probably net the player a lot less than the Steelers offer.
Okay, he didn't say it directly, not in that post anyway. I'm going by what he's said in plenty of other threads.
I don't understand why he's even bringing up the term "class warfare", and I don't agree with his comment that "...liberals who have waged all-out war on the rich..." The states with the highest levels of poverty are red states so why would blue state liberals wage a war that doesn't benefit them?

Tell me you are not honestly going to try and claim you don't know what I mean by "class warfare?" It's all we ever hear out of any lefty on just about every issue. It's always a case of those who have (power or money) and those who don't. Liberals view themselves as crusaders for the poor, out to make those evil greedy rich people and corporations pay their fair share. How many times have we heard "TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH!" Not, tax cuts for everyone, not even tax cuts tailored to give the top marginals less than others.... but TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH... THE RICH... who have more money than they deserve... THE RICH... who got to be that way by taking advantage of the poor! This is your liberal mindset, and it is apparently so ingrained in you, that you don't even recognize it as class warfare anymore!

Well, just stop paying your taxes, grow some balls Doxie! Keep what is yours! Be a Tax Rebel! It's not your GODDAMN MONEY!
What the fuck do you mean we can't afford it? It's like a fucking pickpocket saying he can't afford to not steal your wallet! You people amaze me, it's like the money already belongs to the government, and they are somehow allowing us to keep it, and we "can't afford" that! The money belongs to ME, not the government! I worked hard for it, and I'll be damned if I let you get away with thinking it belongs to you!
How do you define "fair share"?
Not right now we can't anyways. We can't afford the tax cuts.
I "got you" a long time ago and it is not a pretty picture! It's not about how I define anything, read the thread and stop trying to infer different meanings into what I say so you can have a 'gotchya moment' here. It's about how liberals constantly claim the rich don't pay their fair share, even though the wealthiest pay the highest percentage of their income to taxes. It's the constant playing on emotional class envy, dwelling on people's jealousy of others, to foster a consensus of support for raising the taxes on the wealthy, further regulating big business, and attempting to implement wealth redistribution in the name of social justice.
If you want to act all doe-eyed, like sugar wouldn't melt in your mouth, then that's entirely up to you, I think most people understand exactly what I have said here, and your 'who me?' approach, just isn't going to play.

What real people say?....I'm real, and the only thing that pisses me off about the rich is that I ain't one of them....What I get is your insinuation that rich people are being taken to the cleaners by a greedy government and the great unwashed hanging onto their coattails, and I'm not buying it. You know as well as I do that the rich may have higher tax rates, but the chances of them paying those rates are slim to none. Tax-free investments, write-offs, offshore banking, tax havens... dozens of creative ways for the rich to hang onto most of their dough. For every gain they make a corresponding loss can be found, that's why they have accountants and financial managers. About half of the wealthiest Americans inherited their money, so don't give me the song-and-dance that every millionaire earned his fortune by the sweat of his brow.
The difference between us is that I think it's laughable when millionaires and billionaires pout and snivel that they're being treated unfairly by our horribly punitive tax codes</sarcasm>. You, on the other hand, have a hissy fit and claim that only liberals are concerned with tax breaks for the rich. Maybe you need to get your snout out of those right-wing blogs and listen to what real people have to say, because you can bet your bottom dollar that conservatives with low or fixed incomes are just as outspoken.

I wish we all could live like Soros and Oprah but I don't want to steal their money, or have the government confiscate it and give it to me...
But thats exactly what you want.....
I believe in fairness and justice....and not envy and jealousy
That makes me a hell of lot better person than you so fu.
It's not your GODDAMN MONEY!
There's a LOT of differences between us, don't get me started! It is social progressive liberals who want to continue waging war on the upper class, with the false hope and presumptive reasoning, it will 'lift up' the middle class and lower class. It will not. We'll always have people who, for whatever reason, lack the motivation to succeed. The BEST thing you and I can do for people, is get the government out of their way as much as we can, and let them utilize their talents and ingenuity to forge prosperity. We can't do this by making them the hated enemy and target of our jealousy, we have to encourage their prosperity and success, not punish it.
