Protester disrupts House over Obama's birthplace

So, Democrats were involved in the PR stunt, how does that make anyone an idiot?

because you and your fellow libs have been solely bitching about republicans reading this

you haven't once criticized anything from the dems, you did however was poetic about how evil the pubs are.....

see how that works

To me it was the Republicans saying, "See, we belive it more than they do, because they did not read it outloud"!

Thats a PR stunt....

Its like when everyone wore an American flag on there lapel, remember... All the sudden Obama did not love America enough because he did not have one.

busted jarod :)

It will be Boehner's next move to show up wrapped in the American flag!

I know many Democrats took part in this, Ive known it all day. It was set up by the leadership as a way to make a PR stunt...

The reading of the Constitution was planed and set up by the house leadership. Thats Republicans this term.

Hey I can see why you want to distance yourself from it now that it backfired and was exposed to be a PR stunt, but you cant... We all know who set this up.

It is sad that some democrats were goated into taking part in this stunt, but we all know whos idea the stunt was!

Yurt is either soused or he needs a drink badly.

how about giving all congress critters a test (that has to be passed before they can be seated) on the constitution for each new congress

I would think the same thing and be even more disappointed if a Democrat suggested it, it is should be done individually!

They should sing God Bless America every 10 mins while standing on there heads........... It will prove they love America.

I am not so much upset by it, other than they are using a sacred docmuent that they clearly dont belive in for a PR stunt.

I disagree with the President regarding the things you mentioned, I belive they are all unconstitutional.

1) If that was why they were doing it, I would have no problem with it. Thats not why they did it.

2) The Republicans have shown 0 respect for it for MANY MANY years, they call judges who uphold it ACTIVISTs and the last Republican president scoffed that it was "just a piece of paper"!

you guys are bashing this because you thought it was only repubs reading it...i know nigel thought so as well, however, he never said so in a post....

TFF

The deal is this.... all partisin politics aside, most polititians believe what they are doing is in accord with the Constitution, they belive that the bill they are supporting fits with how they read the Constitution. Reading the thing aint going to help that. You see, the political pholosophy of those who are elected by the people, reflects the reading of the Consitution of those people. Reading it does not change anything, its not like some polititian is going to say. Ohh, I never heard that part, I guess it is unconstitutional to give preference to faith based orginizations.........

This is why its a PR stunt...

Now I know some polititians do need a primer on the Constitution but knoledge of it should be assumed. (Exclude GWB on this as he clearly said "Its just a piece of paper" when confronted with objections to his plans re the Constitution)

1. link to gwb saying that, i want a direct link to him saying it, not hearsay

2. its funny how you now aren't aiming this at solely republicans...after i had to remind you and your fellow libs that it was a dem reading a portion of it

Other than the plan to do it, as it obviously came from the leadership... I never said anything about it being solely Republicans.... I am disappointed that Democrats took part in such a PR stunt.
