How can you write that? Obama campaigned on government run health care. The Repubs made it clear even a government run option was a non-starter so Obama had to scrape together bits and pieces, here and there, to get the ball rolling.
Some folks think government health care is socialist take-over of the country. We all know government run health care is cheaper and it covers everyone. We all know there is not one country that reverted to a private system once a government plan took effect. We all know that the citizens in every country with government run health care
insist their government keep the plan. These things can be easily checked with a few Googles.
So, who is refusing to change?
The Dems won't co-operate with the Repubs because the Repub plan goes backwards. Any and all private, for profit, plans will fail. The evidence is 100% for government medical, worldwide. There's not one example where a country reverted to private medical. What are people looking at when they say government medical won't work? Where do they even get such an idea? They can't point to one country where the citizens want their government plan abolished let alone any country that did abolish it. From where do their ideas come?
Maybe Clinton is/was like the rest but Obama pushed his plan through because the evidence, world-wide, shows government medical works.
On the upside another Obama term will see a lot of things cleared up as different aspects of his plan come on line. The conversation has to change from private vs government to Dem government plan vs Repub government plan. It's that "Overton Window" thingie.
