Democratic Leaders Say Rep. Weiner Must Resign

Democratic leaders are now calling on Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign after the New York lawmaker embroiled in a Twitter scandal admitted he had online contact with a Delaware teenager.

National party chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz says Weiner's behavior is "indefensible" and his role in Congress is "untenable."

The Florida congresswoman says "this sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction" for everyone.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California says Weiner "needs help" and he should get some "without the pressures of being a member of Congress."

Oh but... HAS HE DONE ANYTHING ILLEGAL? If not, I don't think Nancy & Co. can kick him out, it doesn't matter how much of a distraction he has become to their message!! Oh yes, what he did was despicable and unacceptable, but not illegal (so far). I personally thought Bill Clinton did equally despicable and unacceptable things, but Congress found it didn't "rise to the level" to remove him from office.

The Weiner was elected by his constituents, and if they don't want him to resign, he shouldn't.

And for the most part, you hypocrites didn't call for him to step down until the news and allegations got even worse.....even now Pelosi is saying its up to his constituents........thats hypocracy....she should be demanding he step down , not tapdancing about his constituents.......if he was a Republican, he would be gone, gone on the first day.....
but your hypocritical weasel will hold out and hope it all blows over....the lame stream liberal media will forget about him soon enough
