Volt: A study in Government Motors failure

Hey Master Electrician Bravo, looks like I found the problem;

The condition (worn, damaged or age) of the electrical outlet in the wall is often the culprit due for the increase in temperature to the UL certified cord. If the AC wall plug feels hot while charging, then the owner should simply unplug the charge cord and have the AC wall outlet replaced by a qualified electrician.

Huh, what do know about that, dipshit?

The smug mobile is a total flop. Interesting libtards are ok with the 1 percent getting 27 percent over tha average workers earnings in a tax credit for buying a car.

Yo do realize that the price drops on new technology as it ages and manufacturing ramps up right?

We have to start somewhere.

The only people I'm jealous of is those smoking quality pot over the next few months till I quit working for the Gestapo.

Do you know ANYTHING about idiot?
lithiun ion batteries
The energy density of lithum is 20 times that of lead. Additionaly, with lead being the most dense non radioactive metal, and lithium being the least dense of all metals, lithium ion batteries, if improperly charged can cause incredilby hot fires.

Shut your mouth, ignoramus.

The issue IS NOT batteries, fool....not lithium or any other kind.....the issue is simple extension cords.....and GM's inability to supply one to the customers that will do the job without melting.

The only kind of lithium you need concern yourself with is the kind used to treat manic depression (bipolar disorder) ... so take your meds and STFU.

Had they invested in conventional energy they could have created thousands of jobs paying over $100,000. Instead we are stuck with a bankrupt solar company and a smug mobile @2x Prius price and 10 percent of the sales volumes.

LOL
Return of Dune,
seriously, the batteries have nothing to do with the fires. It's hilarious that you keep harping on about something that's not at issue.

poorly engineered product is poorly engineered. What's the suprise here?

dune is retarded. he thinks he is so smart, but in reality, he is really stupid.

Good input Yurt, you really added value to the conversation.

it is all you are worth. and moron, i started the thread. you are nothing but a shit stirrer troll.

your input in this thread shows just how stupid you are. if you don't like the truth, then stop coming to this board.

LOL Tinfoil, GM couldn't engineer an extension cord, dipshit

Retrun of dune

GM should have engineered a ground-fault to the power supply cord to prevent the cord from EVER getting enough current to melt the casing and start a fire. I can't imagine that it wouldn't have one, so I'm left to presume that it failed. If in fact the corrd does not have this minimal safety device, we can say for sure it was an engineering failure.

You obviously do not have the mind of an engineer. Engineers to not blame existing conditions for their failure to cope with said conditions.

Are you an engineer?

One of the things that I always find kind of funny on the board is posters who are afraid to admit that they don't know everything about everything. You're one of those.

Usatoday reported today that volts battery catches fire after serious crashes. Gm is offering to bu them back from the 1 percenters who bought them. Sure is good of government motors to cater to the 1 percent.

Eh; growing pains, nothing more. Ever see all of those old clips of people trying to fly around the time of the Wright Bros.?

It's easy to pick on failures when something new is being developed.
Leave him alone. He's a lawyer, not an engineer. He doesn't understand how manufacturing works.

I mean like this is pretty minor shit compared to Honda's recall of nearly 300,000 vehicles, right?

Lol growing pains. Ie hawkish statement of the decade. Not shocking democrats are clueless on business.
Ok full disclosure I can pick shitty alternative energy investments right up there with obuma; but I'm not using taxpayer dollars. Billions on electric because dummytards (read democrats) cried wolf on something other than only propeller head geek demand for the electric car(read golf cart in a car suit) in the 90's.
so total fail on Jetson's volt, total fail on solyndra. Not total fail on creating buggyman of oil companies (read the ones who actually get us to work daily).
Nice diatribe but if that were true then the Nissan Leaf would not be succeeding either. Explain that contradiction would you please?

Mott your a pollution specialist not a finance guy. 1 never said leaf was woth a shit. Volt is losing billions, no way to get around that fact. Obuma's green choices have faired as well as the colts without manning.

Gas engine cars can catch fire in a serious crash. WTF is your point?
