Same here...I'm a 10 percenter.

I think it's supper fucking funny that these mouth breathing redneck types keep voting based on guns, gays and abortion or what ever the good ole boy club should tell them to do. If they weren't so stupid we'd still be making about the same or maybe a little more but then we'd only be in about the top third of earners cause they'd be making a lot more.

Oh well their stupidity leaves more money for us, right Dude? :)

When I was voting republican it was all about lower taxes. When I came here and fp I learned about the shell game of small government and the hypocracy of the righty drug war on freedom.

I used to be blind about that too. I've learned that the central governments most important job is to keep us the fuck out of war. I bought into the low tax religion too until I saw that supply side economics, or at least the Repelican version of it, was really reverse socialism in that as government policy they were redistributing wealth from the middle class to the very wealthiest. The end result has been a dramatic shift in wealth to the top 1% (really more like the top 0.1%) and the greatest increase in the growth of poverty in our nations history. A staggering 15% of the nation live in poverty and nearly 80% of the rest have not seen an increase in their standard of living in 30 years. What is so maddening is that in the last 30 years we have seen the greatest increase in productivity and wealth in our nations history and nearly all of that has gone to about 20,000 families.

Something is seriously wrong in America and if things don't change bad things will happen.

My wife will have me hiking and kayaking too much in retirement. That will be tougher than working.

I used to have it like that when I was working as a sub on a 1099. I'd try to negotiate contracts for time plus cost but most of my customers preferred me to work set hours for them. Like come in for an 8 hour day. I'd come in and get the contracted for work done in 4 hours and surf the net for 4 hours. It's their money man.
