Americans buy record numbers of guns for Christmas

its not always about ONLY you.

Most Gun people I know claim they have fun

Oh I have fun. But to state that we taught our children to have fun killing is a strawman argument.

I, and my fellow Gun people, also provide the lion's share of funding for conservation efforts.

While you and your fellow anti-gun/anti-hunting folks would revel in watching animals die a slow death from starvation while wrecking the habitat they live in. (see? two can play that game)

A 12-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was hit in the head by celebratory gunfire an hour into the new year.

Detectives say Diego Duran and his family were sitting outside their home in Ruskin, Florida watching fireworks, reports ABC Action News.

Suddenly at around 1am, the young boy's mother Sandra saw him fall to the ground bleeding from the eyes and the nose.

Diego's father told cfnews13.com that his son just dropped. 'All of a sudden, hell breaks loose - blood all over the place.'

He was rushed to hospital, where doctors realized that he was suffering from a gun shot would and the bullet had entered the top of his head and was lodged in his cheek.

And this would be another example of what idiots do with guns, not what children taught proper gun useage do with guns.

Thanks for helping my argument.

I have never met a hunter who said it wasnt about having fun.

I have never met a hunter who said it wasnt about having fun.

You have never seen me say it wasn't fun either. But your claim that we teach our children that killing is fun is still an oversimplification and a strawman argument.

I also notice that, in order to keep portraying shooters and hunters as evil, you have ignored all the points I brought up.

Ahh, don't worry desh, I'm not completely nuts. He's becoming quite a duck hunter and likes to kill squirrels too. If he sharpens his accuracy up over the summer and into the fall I'll take him deer hunting. Fun times for me and my boy....just like with my dad and me. My dad who taught me, as I am teaching my son, "if you kill it you eat it."

and the more guns bought insure more untrained people have them to play with

http://www.9news.com/news/world/239369/347/Hunting-Mass-trooper-accidentally-shoots-woman

An off-duty state trooper who was hunting in southeast Massachusetts shot and wounded a 66-year-old woman who was out walking her two dogs when he mistook her pets for a deer.

The woman was shot in the torso while walking on a wooded path in Norton about 5 p.m. Saturday. Police said the trooper called 911 after realizing he had mistaken the tails of the two retrievers for a deer's tail.

The unidentified woman who lives in Norton was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. Authorities provided no further information on her condition.

State police on Sunday said investigators determined the shooting was an accident. The name of the trooper, who also lives in Norton, was not released because he faces no charges and no internal investigation.

you can bet your ass if that was NOT a state trooper, but some civilian hunter, he/she would be facing charges.

How does my post break rule 12? I'd love to see your spin, er, interpretation on that in lieu of half the shit that others here post.

It matters, for a person who talks about Maineman's posts it behooves you to stay well away from that arena at all. Billie is right, just fricking quit it.
