Mrs. Santorum

Well, English is my first language and unless he is speaking some exotic form of American then it is crystal clear as to what he is saying.

yes, and it isn't what you claim he said......note the actual statement "there were some who wanted...........but".....interesting that your clip cuts off before we find out what the "but" was.........

There was an example of this just a few months ago.

"Last November, a 27-year-old woman was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. She was 11 weeks pregnant with her fifth child, and she was gravely ill. According to a hospital document, she had "right heart failure," and her doctors told her that if she continued with the pregnancy, her risk of mortality was "close to 100 percent." The patient, who was too ill to be moved to the operating room much less another hospital, agreed to an abortion. But there was a complication: She was at a Catholic hospital.

"They were in quite a dilemma," says Lisa Sowle Cahill, who teaches Catholic theology at Boston College. "There was no good way out of it. The official church position would mandate that the correct solution would be to let both the mother and the child die. I think in the practical situation that would be a very hard choice to make." But the hospital felt it could proceed because of an exception — called Directive 47 in the U.S. Catholic Church's ethical guidelines for health care providers — that allows, in some circumstance, procedures that could kill the fetus to save the mother. Sister Margaret McBride, who was an administrator at the hospital as well as its liaison to the diocese, gave her approval.

The woman survived. When Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted heard about the abortion, he declared that McBride was automatically excommunicated — the most serious penalty the church can levy."

and despite the lies from the left, it's obvious that, since Directive 47 exists, the Catholic Church does NOT require that the mother and child must both die......liars trapped, case closed......

The discussion has nothing to do with partisanship or political parties. That has nothing to do with being an excellent politician or not. (And again saying someone is an excellent politician isn't always intended as a compliment).

I equate the word "excellent" with "to excel". Superior product. I don't associate deceit and lying as being "excellent".

All the lies the left can dream up and spew in the next 10 months are not going to get Obama re-elected. It's pitiful to watch a great political party act like street hustlers to get this fraud re-elected. The faithful little dweebs will lie and slander whoever they are told to. They can't run on any issues because they have failed. This kind of nasty shit like Darla and Rana spew is all they have. Talk about sheep....... Whore sheep.

Steadfastly ignoring the fact that the bishop excommunicated the administrator for aborting the baby. You are so desperate to appear to be vindicated that it borders on pathetic.

Based on your definition there wouldn't be a single excellent politician because every one of them is lier who is out for themselves. So within the game of politics very few have the skills Clinton has.

A church can do whatever it wants. Abortions are not going to be stopped. They might stop the govt funding, but abortion is the law of the land. You guys are really running scared. Look at yourselves. Frothing and writhing all over abortion. Kinda sick.

Christophobe.

I knew a guy who left the Jehovah's Witness. He told me about an elderly couple (in their early 80s) who were Jehovah's Witness and lived in the same apartment complex which I did. When the wife died he told me the man, not being a "registered" Jehovah's Witness, was told to sit at the back of the church now that his wife had died. Basically they ostracized him now that his wife was no longer a member.

I'm not against any particular religion. I'm against any and all religions that treat people cruelly. I often wonder what motivates people to remain members of such religions. The only answer that makes sense is they are concerned about their own "welfare" (Heaven/Hell) regardless of how others are treated. That being the case what would possibly motivate me or anyone else to want to associate with such people?

You don't know the heart of every politician so you can't say that. It's only an opinion. Excellence has a definition.

JWs are a pseudo-Christian cult. They're liars of Scripture and have destroyed many lives. I've dealt with them for over 30 years off an on. I found them interesting to study comparing their beliefs with traditional Christianity. They're fucking nuts.

Well I would argue/state it is pretty much fact that every politician is scum. They rank at the bottom of the totum pole along with lawyers. Do you think it is coincidence many politicians are lawyers/law school grads?

Is there a politician in particular you have in mind that you think isn't out for themselves and power?

Do you watch sports at all? Have you ever heard them discuss an athlete with the most talent? Having that talent doesn't necessarily mean it gets translated into results on the field but the talent is there. That is Bill Clinton.
