NHTSA: No problem with Volt batteries.

dune can't read:

further, it is untrue they report said "no problems". dune is a liar.

NHTSA remains unaware of any real-world crashes that have resulted in a battery-related fire involving the Chevy Volt or any other electric vehicle. NHTSA continues to believe that electric vehicles show great promise as a safe and fuel-efficient option for American drivers.

Yurt is a dirty little liar, but what else is new?

Um... there were only about 4000 sold all of last year. The odds of one of them already being in a crash are minimal at best. Give it another 200 years or so when 10000 have hit the streets. Then maybe, just maybe one of the pieces of shit will have been in an accident.

Thanks for your useless input.
Do you have any evidence at all that Volts are "pieces of shit"?

most of those sales were dealer to dealer to inflate the numbers.
Even a marxist troll like Rune won't buy that Golf Cart on cheap steroids.

holy shit, you are fucking dumb. the cars are brand new, on the road maybe a year with only a few thousand sold. just because there hasn't been or they aren't aware of any real world crashes, DOES NOT mean there is no problem. i even cited their own tests which showed there was in fact a problem and they had to modify the design.

seriously, what is wrong with you? so according to dune, crash tests are meaningless.....

fires following NHTSA crash tests of the vehicle and its battery components

Is there still a problem?

the report did not say, as you claimed. it said it only reduced the potential problem.

the report did not say "no problem with volt batteries". your OP is false.

Liar.

Today, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration closed its safety defect investigation into the potential risk of fire in Chevy Volts that have been involved in a serious crash. Opened on November 25, the agency’s investigation has concluded that no discernible defect trend exists and that the vehicle modifications recently developed by General Motors reduce the potential for battery intrusion resulting from side impacts

i lied? about what? where did they say there was "no" problem? and in your quote it says exactly what i told you it said...it only "reduced" the potential problem. cite where they said there is "no" problem, because if you don't, you've not only lied once, but you exacerbated by calling me a liar.

Liar can't read well either.

so "no problem" is the same as "no discernible defect trend exists"?

hint: get a dictionary before responding, because you just made a huge fool out of yourself, especially after claiming i can't read. specifically, look up "discernible" and "trend" and then report back as to how that equals "no problem".
