CA passes "fun tax" -f'ing liberal moonbats

Dude, multiple articles all said the same thing. So unless we should assume every headline of every article is wrong or a lie how do you expect someone to know that?

poor zappa....he only bashes those he hates and everyone on the right

if a lefty does it....it is ok

Having grown up in CA I happen to know that people bring Frisbee; footballs; volleyballs; baseballs etc to the beach to play. Another 'ordinance" is a fine for digging holes in the sand deeper then 18 inches. No more digging in the sand.

I note the beached whale bemoaning the inaccuracies in the reports headline... I do wonder though if apart from his flailing about over the headline, if he supports this kind of moronic over-reach by elected officials.

Well, just so you know, the original ordinance, which prohibited anything other than beach balls was enacted in 1970. This isn't a new thing.

Don't you talk about Dune, in such a manner.
Dune and Yurt had shown me that they have intelligence beyond comparison, when it comes to these forums.

Just ask them and they'll tell you. :)

Here I go and give Yurt some props and he groans me.

OH-NO, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Yes. Absolutely. Go read the ordinance yourself. Start with section 17.12.150 on pages 15 and 16, which establishes penalties for violations. Subsection B establishes the $1,000 fine and it applies to violations of Sections 17.12.360 (nudity), 17.12.410 (unknown, but not playing football or frisbee), 17.12.44 (swimming when prohibited due to dangerous conditions) and 17.12.480 (surfing and cetera in swimming area). It does not apply to Section 17.12.430 (ball-playing restrictions).

i followed your link as SF didn't give a link. your jump cite says (paraphrase):

up to a $1000 and/or imprisonment not exceeding six months or both.

i don't see a graduated fine increase, nor do i see your "unknown" claim.

been a long week....if i missed something, sue me beeeyotch

Yes, that is news to me. Like I said, having grown up in CA and going to numerous beaches up and down the coast- people were always bringing balls and Frisbee to the beach. I read the link. Fines are a new thing with regards to balls and Frisbee and so is the "can't dig a hole" ordinance. I did appreciate the accurate info- and the author's tongue in cheek reference to the intelligence of such ordinances- so unlike the apologists posting in this thread.

See post 15. The unknown is actually shooting weapons.

The fines are not new and have existed since at least 1995.

you're so smart.

just ask yourself!

But you and Dune have joined forces and in doing so, the two of you have doubled your intelligence and are now unsurpassable with your ability to debate and to present indisputable evidence.

I live to have your light shine on me. :good4u:

Nope...I just noticed the gross inaccuracy of the headline and your idiotic willingness to run with it despite it's being wrong.
