As I noted many times, being defective does not change the genetic coding. Dying doesn't negate what something was.
No, dying doesn’t change what something was but in the case of fertilized eggs that spontaneously abort we don’t know what it was as far as containing the necessary ingredients to become a human being.
YOU are the one that used the car analogy to begin with JACKASS. But you realize just how fucking retarded you are when it was thrown back in your face. A defect in a car doesn't mean it isn't a car. A defect in a human doesn't mean it isn't human.
The only thing thrown is the evidence that you were unable to grasp the relevant point of the analogy. If a defect is severe enough it can be a disqualifying factor. The definition of an organism includes the ability to carry on life’s processes. If the defect is inherent and prohibits the egg from dividing or the division is defective to the degree it starts to die the moment the division occurs then there is no organism. It has never shown it had the ability to carry on the processes of life.
Moron... it DOES carry on the process of life up until the point that it dies. JUST AS ALL LIVING THINGS DO.
Wrong. A fertilized egg is alive due to the fact it’s composed of the merging of two living things. The product formed may or may not be an organism depending on whether it is able to carry on the processes of life. The moment the merging occurs the product and the two things (sperm and egg) start to die. The sperm was alive but not an organism. The egg was alive but not an organism and the product formed from the union was alive but was not an organism which is why 50% of them do not carry on the processes of life.
How can it be stated in a more basic way? The defect prevents the product formed from carrying on the processes of life which means the product formed was not an organism. Surely you are capable of following such basic logic.
Again, you are simply making shit up. Saying we can't determine the make up of the fertilized egg is 100% FALSE. We can. We have that technology. you keep rambling about 'necessary ingredients as if this was some sort of cake batter. The very site YOU used to proclaim 50% spontaneously abort stated that it is normally NOT the genes that cause this to happen. But you ignore that little FACT. Why is that moron?
Knowing the general make-up is not the same thing as knowing if one of the ingredients is defective. We have seen this problem with food over the years. A dish made from a number of ingredients may contain salmonella. Knowing what ingredients are in the dish does not tell us which ingredient had the salmonella.
The same logic applies to fertilized cells. We know what the ingredients are but we don’t know if a specific ingredient is defective. Why are you unable to grasp that?
As to external factors playing a part it’s illogical to assume such is the case in the majority of spontaneous abortions considering the diversity of women involved. Rich, poor, black, white…a complete cross-section of women suffer spontaneous abortions at the general rate of 50%. To assume ALL of those fertilized cells were organisms, thus, human beings is totally absurd.
To the contrary, you have shown that it is you that has no clue what an organism is and that you also have no clue what genetic mapping has enabled us to do. We do know what many of the causes are of spontaneous abortions. They were listed on YOUR LINK, the one you apparently read very selectively. You keep rambling about proof... the proof IS there moron. It is in the GENES. Something that feeble little mind of yours cannot grasp.
It doesn’t matter if 99% of the fertilized eggs spontaneously abort due to outside factors. All that is required to debunk the anti-abortionist argument is ONE of those cells abort due to a defect. Just one out of millions. That’s all that’s required to put an end to the nonsensical argument ALL fertilized cells are human beings.
Do some research. Learn. There is not one web site that can claim to know if ALL the fertilized cells are organisms capable of carrying on the processes of life and common sense tells us if 50% spontaneously abort the likelihood is at least ONE of them wasn’t an organism which blows the anti-abortionist argument out the window.
What the hell are you rambling about now? You just keep throwing one extreme after another onto the table hoping that one of them sticks to the plate so you can call it meat.
Talking about extremes it doesn’t get any more extreme than saying ALL fertilized cells are human beings.
It’s always the same nonsense with anti-abortionists. Whether it’s their saying ALL fertilized cells are human beings when the preponderance of the evidence leads any rational person to the opposite conclusion or their rambling on about the sanctity of life but condone the murder of innocent human beings depending on who the father is (incest) or whether the mother said, “No”, shortly before conception (rape) their logic and moral compass are like two blind people pointing out stars in the night sky.
What morons such as yourself continue to fail to grasp is that 'not knowing everything' is not equal to 'not knowing anything'
What we do know:
1) How to tell the species via the genes
2) How to tell which specific human the DNA belongs to.
Do you deny either of the above moron?
No, I do not deny either of the above but that does not tell us if a fertilized cell is a human being or has the potential to become a human being and that’s the crux of the argument. As I noted previously we do not know enough about how genes work to determine what will and what will not develop into a human being. We don’t even know how many genes human beings have so we can’t even make an educated guess.
This discussion is not all that difficult to understand. Anti-abortionists base their objection to abortion on the argument all fertilized cells are human beings. That’s the foundation of their argument and like a foundation built on sand it keeps shifting. The “extremes” I throw out are evidence of the shifting foundation. Whether it’s the case of the “biological child” or the fairly recent knowledge genes can be turned off and on, causing or preventing something from happening, we have no idea if a fertilized cell is or ever will become a human being. Compounding the problem is we don’t have the aborted cells to test even if we knew what to test for.
The entire anti-abortionist argument is based on suppositions and conjecture which is fine in a casual “give your opinion” discussion but hardly appropriate when their ignorance is put forward as evidence in order to deny half the population the most basic of rights.
Finally, talking about morons, the way some folks just suck up all this garbage spewed by the anti-abortionist lobby shows there is no shortage of dictatorial morons.
