Courageous Gov vetoes abominable bill

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV).

It was spoken like someone who has seen the profound changes in the way our society views homosexuality. It was just a few decades ago that it was illegal. Now we have several states that have gay marriage. It will happen throughout the nation. It is just a matter of time.

Several states recognize gay marriages. Soon they will be recognized by the federal gov't. The roughly 1,400 benefits of marriage will be granted to gay couples in our lifetime. Whether churches or religious organizations recognize them or not is irrelevant.

What is there to argue? I can see that some states are caving. I'm just not as optimistic as you are about the success levels of advancing homosexuals on our citizenry.

What you see as caving, I see as creating equality. If you look at the major advances that have happened in just a few years, it is inevitable.

What you see is the decline of moral courage. What you don't see is that the gay agenda will not last. Good Americans won't "tolerate" it, and neither will God.

So God will punish us for allowing gays to marry?

What about allowing gays to be open about their sexuality? What about allowing gays to live together openly?

Will God punish us for that too?



I do not doubt the many, many gays who have adamantly maintained that they were born gay. Does that mean our moral decay happens prior to birth?


If you want to worry about morality, start with the immoral acts that harm others. Homosexuality does not harm anyone.

How is it moral courage to go along with the loudest and pushiest people and allow the status quo to continue?

Moral courage is opposing an unfair system that grants gov't benefits to one set of couples and denies it to another based solely on religious dogma and genitalia.

God will punish all who knowingly sin. That is if they remain unrepentant.

So you have nothing to refute what's been presentted, except to fall back on that your god is going to punish those who don't agree with you.
