2) That is simply nonsense. To suggest that it is ok to use a weapon because it might have prevented the use of a more powerful weapon is absurd. That is like saying it is ok to stab someone if it prevented you from using a gun. You are just making excuses.
3) the kid did NOT deserve to be hit with a bat. The key word here toppy is KID. You may be jealous of QB's and have some personal vendetta against them... but just because he was a QB doesn't change the fact that he too was a kid. Saying a kid deserves to be hit with a bat for putting someone in a locker is bullshit. It is weak and it is most certainly cowardly.

that is what I taught my sons, the kid who came to my house and threw the first punch probably didn't deserve to have blood pooring out of his face but he got it.

again moron... what the QB did was wrong... no question. But to come back a couple weeks later and respond with a bat... that is unjustifiable. Period. To hit the QB from behind adds to the cowardice of the action. There is no honor in that. There is no justification for that. Had Mutt grabbed a bat on impulse immediately after getting out of the locker and hit the guy, while the response would still not be warranted, it could at least be understood given the heat of the moment. But to come at the guy from behind weeks after this occurred... is COWARDLY. PERIOD.

Honor is not about what someone else deserves. It is about how one chooses to act himself (or herself).

If one of your sons was kneecapped... something tells me you wouldn't think it 'cool'. HE IS A FUCKING KID.
