Green energy harming the environment

You'll never ever know anything about my personal life....never ....and its killin' you ain't it...?

I love it.....
You really think I have to impress or something ?....get fuckin' real dude.....I'm your superior in every way that counts

Just do what I say and keep those groans coming like a good little boy....

At least you obey like a good boy, right boy ?

You'd make a wonderful lapdog......I could throw a stick and you could fetch it......don't forget to groan this right away.....

I have yet to hear any "lefty" argue that green tech is a perfected science.

But that's just me.

what's the "science" that's so mysterious here? Resistance is well known. It's left out because it doesn't matter to the alarmist scientists if they lie to acheive their goals.

For proof, see scientists like Stephen Schneider

Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. I hope that means being both.

(Quoted in Discover, pp. 45–48, Oct. 1989. For the original, together with Schneider's commentary on its misrepresentation, see also American Physical Society, APS News August/September 1996.).

And the recent affair with the phisher/ identity theif Peter Gleick

i have no problem with energy conservation or green energy. i just can't stand the uber left enviro wackos who spout that green energy is not harmful to the environment.

it is not that it is not harmful to the environment, but that it is less harmful...

Zappa do you agree with this last overdone line?

I agree with his statement that one day, no matter what, we will eventually run out of fossil fuels to power our vehicles and an alternative must be developed.

Barring some unforeseen calamity befalling the people of this planet, (asteroid strike), we are going to have to live on this planet for a LOOOOOOONG time, and the fact remains that our reserves of fossil fuels aren't renewing as fast as we are using them...it's simple math.

I doubt that. We could temporarily do that but how long would that last? 100 years? 200? 300? A drop in the piss bucket by a geolgoical time frame. If carbon energy technology is to have a long term future then ultimately it will have to be renewable.

wtf

Onceler said carbon would have to be renewable. Fucking hillarious.

Tell me how?

Poor Howdy the Dude......advertising his stupidity for all to see.....actually believes carbon based fuel isn't renewable.....making fun of the posters that mentioned it....
How fuckin' ignorant is the Dude in real life......

Never heard of TREES Dude ?
Never heard of CORN Dude ?

Its no wonder pinheads like you are so in favor of affirmative action........you don't have enough brains to pick your own nose.....

your post clearly indicated someone believes oil doesn't harm the environment. that is a strawman.

there are numerous uber lefties who claim green energy doesn't harm the environment. that you deny it is what is hilarious. you claim i throwing out a strawman but that is false, you're only upset because you got called out for another strawman.

are you for or against the alaska pipe or the pipeline obama rejected?

Well then, if there are numerous "uber lefites" who claim green energy doesn't arm the environment, then name 3...

New super-cheap, ultra-thin solar cells could threaten fossil fuel dominance

The secret to Twin Creeks’ new solar cells is thinness. Most crystalline solar panels use sheets of silicon that are around 200 mircons thick, and are cut from blocks of silicon that measure about 600 microns thick. The process of cutting the silicon down to 200 microns results in massive waste. But Twin Creeks uses a hydrogen ion particle accelerator to create silicon solar wafers that measure a mere 20 microns thick, and are at least as efficient at turning sun rays into electricity as their 200-micron counterparts. The innovative production process creates almost no waste, and cuts the cost of solar cell production from about 80 cents per watt down to 40 cents per watt.

I was rather curious about this, as well. As someone who reads a lot about emerging green tech, I haven't seen anyone make the claims Yurt is talking about...

Oh - that was the "proof" that "numerous uber-lefties" have said that green energy does NOT harm the environment?

LOL
